Outstanding flavors - Edit
This is such a great restaurant with incredible flavors! Perfect for a mixed group of people. They even make their own noodles 🍜 I had the pad cha hett and it was very good. Vegan options are clearly labeled. I also recommend the pineapple shake. The flavor of the food and drinks is so great. I wish I could eat more and am amazed about Toronto’s options. So glad we came here!

Great Restaurant - Edit
They have great vegan options and clearly labeled, we got the pad Thai and a soup, and it was one of the best pad Thai I had! The soup was very spicy though.
Read moreI would recommend letting your waiter know you’re vegan since this place serves meat.
Also you should book in advanced otherwise it’s very crowded (even on week days).
Pros: Vegan options clearly labeled, Very tasty
Cons: Crowded, Loud, Serves meat

Insanely good food - Edit
A lot of vegan options available, with veggies, tofu and mushroom based meat. They specified that the rolls weren't vegan because they were cooked in the same oil as other things, which tells me that they're careful with the rest of the food and the kitchen!

Totally flexible menu in a cozy environment - Edit
All dishes on the menu can be made vegan without a fuss. The service was prompt and the flavors outstanding! I had the vegan pad Thai and found it delicious. Recommend making reservation as the restaurant is popular and fills up. This is a great layover meal option and only about three blocks from the Hilton on University.

Really good - Edit
Love the large vegan menu! Super flavourful with good portions. It was really bustling for a Friday afternoon, almost all of the seats were full. I’ve been to Pai Uptown too, they are both equally awesome.

Delicious! There’s a reason there’s a line - Edit
This is one of my go-to restaurants in downtown Toronto because it’s always reliably consistent and good food. A lot of the dishes at the restaurant can be made vegan, and I’ve never had a bad dish. The food might not blow you away, but it’s good and worth trying. Some of the curries can be a bit heavy, so you might have leftovers to home. The restaurant can get loud at times, and there’s often a line if you don’t book a reservation ahead of time.

amazing food! - Edit
we went around dinner time on a sunday and there was a 30 minute wait, which was to be expected given the reviews that it was frequently busy. there is a dedicated vegan menu. they also have a 90 minute seating limit which i actually enjoyed and feel like more places should incorporate. the food came out very quickly and was the best pad thai i’ve ever had. would absolutely come back! the only downside is i asked if the thai iced tea could be made vegan and it is premade with dairy, which was unfortunate.

Dedicated Vegan Menu - Great options, but very clumpy noodles - Edit
There are so many different rooms and spaces in this restaurant - it is surprisingly huge! Despite all of the room, it was so busy, so I would recommend making a reservation if you plan to go. They have a dedicated vegan menu which you need to ask for, and it has lots of options. I decided to try the Pad Thai, and unfortunately, the noodles were all very clumped together which made it hard to eat. I really liked it - it was super tasty, but the eating experience was not my favourite. I would definitely go back again to give other dishes a try, though, because everything looked really good. I would probably not get the Pad Thai again though.

Great Atmosphere - Edit
I have been going to Pai for a couple of years and it remains one of my 'go-to' options when I am downtown and looking for a great meal. I usually go for the vegan massaman curry which is delicious and I have tried a few of the other options, all of which have been very tasty! There is always enough to take home for lunch the next day!

P.S. I would give Pai 5/5, however not able to as it is not all vegan

Best Green Curry - Edit
The green curry with tofu and vegetables is so good and worth the money as the portion size is just enough for one person and keeps me full.

Vegan Menu, High Prices - Edit
Chef Nuit is probably one of (if not the most) well known Thai chefs in the city. I really like her cooking, been a fan since the Parliament Street days however she's been stretched thin since and everytime I dine at Pai (her flagship spot now) it seems the portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher. I much appreciate that almost all the menu can be made vegan but I actually find the food at competitor Khao San Road tastes better now. Pai is a very lively space.

My go-to place for good thai food - Edit
This place is extremely busy, but the vibe is nice and very lively. Many of the food items can be done in vegan, and are clearly labelled on their menu. Servers are very knowledgeable about vegan options. The food is so good and authentic. I wish I can go there more often!

Superb Thai Food - Edit
warning: This place gets packed, and we were unable to make reservations. Check in an hour before you want to eat, and call ahead. The atmosphere is very hip, and the food is superb. had a fried squash appetizer, some morning glory greens, and vegan fried rice. all were perfectly seasoned, fresh and delicious.Good service considering how crowded it was.

Decent food, but completely overrun with yuppies - Edit
The food here is pretty good... Although certainly not worth raving about. There are certainly better Thai spots all over Toronto
Read moreVegan options are available on the menu, but the details are unclear. I.e. Beef curry with shrimp sauce (can be made vegan)??
Service was great but expect to wait in lines and fight armies of smug, suit wearing yuppies for your table. I recommend bringing earplugs as well to tune out some of the conversations in the room :p

Excellent Thai food - Edit
This is a very popular resto and deservedly so. I was a bit apprehensive about going because the online menu had no vegan options but they assured me their new menu marked which meals could be turned vegan. They were right. There were 5-6 different dishes that could easily be veganized including a mushroom dish that was vegan already. I had the Massaman curry which swapped tofu for the beef and used a vegan curry paste. Delicious. Highly recommended.

Pros: Vegan options, Reservations, Great ambiance
Cons: Noisy
