They don’t understand vegan - Edit
We went here for lunch based on the positive reviews. The pho was delicious but the pad Thai was underwhelming.
Read moreWhen I asked about vegan options, the server said it was all vegan. I knew that wasn’t true, so I checked the ingredients of each dish.
We came back just for tea and coffee. When I asked if they could make a masala tea with nondairy milk, he told me they only have regular milk.
This might be expected if they didn’t have a big sign saying “vegan food” but that’s a deal breaker. We won’t be back.

Great Vietnamese options - Edit
Diverse Viet options that are sometimes rare to find outside of Vietnam, nevermind a veggie version!

Few options, no clear understanding of vegan - Edit
First of all: The food was okay to good, and the restaurant/facilities were good as well. But the waiter didn’t seem to know what vegan was, maybe thought it was the same as vegetarian, and didn’t understand the English explanation.
Read moreAll of this is fine/of course okay on its own, but sadly in combination it meant that I felt very unsure if what I was eating really is vegan. My Nepali companion made sure at least the obvious things like milk or ghee were not in the food. But nothing is marked in the menu.
For a restaurant that advertises Vegan food outside right under its name, that was a bit of a disappointment. Like I said, the food is good and I guess for vegetarians it’s a good pick.
Pros: Big seating area
Cons: No clear understanding of “vegan”

Amazing spring rolls - Edit
Great restaurant in Pokhara and something a bit different, much as I love falafel you can sometimes have too much of a good thing. I had the spring rolls which were definitely a sharing portion so I was too full to have anything else, but they were great! A really positive sign as I think a lot of places do spring rolls badly, these were the best I've had in years. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu next time I'm in Pokhara.

Vietnamese Nepal style - Edit
Tried a few doses to share and each were delicious. We had the vegan fish which was tofu in seaweed with ginger sticks on top. Very different and tasty. The iced coffee with coconut milk was good (I had two) and the lemongrass tofu was spicy enough without ruining the flavour.
