loveee

i grew up in la grange and has since moved away but every time i come back i come to owl & lark. one of my favorite things are their signature drinks. the flavor combos are so unique, which really makes them stand out. i love their smoothie bowls and toasts. my go to is the dragon pearl bowl and the avocado toast.

Pros: drink selection, quality ingredients

My favorite smoothie bowls

This is my favorite coffee shop in the suburbs. Great coffee drinks with non-dairy milks and refreshing, tasty smoothie bowls. There are some toasts and other veganizable options as well.

I work here and know ALL the vegan options :)

All smoothie bowls are vegan (except the bee pollen on magic smoothie bowl, just omit)
All bread for toasts are vegan, just not the gluten free bagels/toast. All toasts are vegan without salmon, and no honey on strawberry toast. We have vegan cream cheese too!
Coffee flavors that are vegan using almond, oat, soy, or macadamia milk:
Vanilla, Caramel, mocha, maple pecan, matcha, coconut matcha, turmeric latte, chai.
Smoothies are vegan (just no bee pollen on blue universe) and ask for plant protein instead of whey protein for smoothies!
All juices are vegan as well.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Good ingredients (superfoods etc.) , Very good coffee

Cons: Expensive

Cute and Simple

I went to Owl and Lark because I heard it was a cute smoothie bowl place...which is a rare sighting in the outer Chicago Suburbs. It has so much character, but not a lot of space. There is always limited seating and the prices are a bit high, especially since it is a place that many high school and college age people go. It has something for everyone and a surprisingly diverse menu for a place that mainly focuses on smoothies and coffee.

Pros: Lots of options, Great vegan substitutes, Fresh food and drinks

Cons: Expensive , Limited Seating, Not as timely - everything is fresh/made to order
