Unhygienic - Edit
Biggest issue I had with the restaurant was the starter-bread is reused between customers; I saw them take a piece of bread I didn’t finish on my plate, and put it back into the big bread pile they give the other guests.

Pros: Friendly staff, Cute area

great staff, great food - Edit
The waiter was hilarious when I told him that I was vegan however, he really made it work for me and I am so grateful for this restaurant. It isn’t a tourist trap. It is authentic Italian food, and definitely worth it.

Do you like mixed salad? - Edit
Very nice wait staff; the day we went there were zero vegan options. Zero. Lovely place, just not for us.

Highly flavorful but limited options - Edit
We enjoyed Alessandro, our waiter who speaks 5 languages and was raised in Florence. We could not determine if there was actual cream in the chickpea soup. But we ordered the Ribolleta, pappa al pomodoro and a pasta with spicy tomato sauce. I was concerned the flavors would be too similar, but they were 3 very different flavor profiles, very filling and delicious. With 2 glasses of wine and bottle of soda water, it was fairly inexpensive. Sat outside. There were 2 hopping nightclubs with loud music across the street, but we enjoyed people watching. Not many other options on the menu, but we really enjoyed what we had.

Gem in San Niccolo - Edit
We enjoyed two vegan soups unique to Tuscany and a simple penne with spicy pomodoro. Our waiter Alessandro was entertaining and engaging. Worth a visit if your on the south side of the Arno.

Not vegan friendly - Edit
This restaurant is not vegan friendly. When we asked what vegan options they have the waiter laughed at us and was very rude.

Some good Tuscan dishes - Edit
Nice traditional Tuscan cuisine, in a crypt dating back to the 11th century. We had some kale croûtons, and some nice soups (ribollita, and a chickpea, spelt, and porcini mushrooms).

Pros: traditional Tuscan cuisine , historic location
