Get the vegetarian nasi lemak! - Edit
I keep thinking fondly of this meal a month after I had it. Very spicy. Big portions.
Read moreI paired it with some satay sticks and coffee which made it a feast.

Ok I came back here after over a year of being in SEA and still love this place, but I no longer think it is *that* spicy haha. So calibrate expectations depending on how acclimatised you are ;)

Vegan Nasi Lemak from Organic Freshmart - Edit
Hi there. I'm a Malaysian and do frequent Organic Freshmart and Restaurant often. My favourite dish is their Pandan Nasi Lemak. It uses so many ingredients that is rare in vegan/vegetarian Nasi Lemak. From chickpeas, lion mane mushrooms, tomato, potato, lemongrass, long beans, everything packs natural flavour that elevates the taste of the meal. The plating was tastefully done and the only downside is that if you come during lunch time, parking is limited due to street parking. Be informed, this restaurant closes on Thursdays.
Read moreTo sum it all, I gave a try in making a video review of their Nasi Lemak. If you would like to watch, do search for Nasi Lemak Battle - Vegetarian Edition on Youtube. Thanks.

Decent food (and shopping, too) - Edit
We ordered quite a lot of the dishes to try. The food definitely tasted organic and fresh but a bit lacking in flavour. They seemed to hold back on spicing and seasoning (I had rendang noodles but you couldn't really tell). The menu has a huge amount of dishes and we are definitely keen to go back and try some more. The actual restaurant part is very cramped and it is hard to move between tables. Would recommend saving bathroom trips for before and after meals.

Cozy restaurant with local touch - Edit
This is a combination of restaurant and shop. Many options from the menu including local Malay style dishes. Also Chinese kitchen. No garlic, onions, GMO since Buddhist background. But still I found the food tastes good.
Read morePrices also OK. Average about MYR10 per dish.
I did not see anything with milk or eggs on the menu. But not 100% sure.
Sells also organic food and groceries like natural detergent etc. But also saw honey products.
Pros: organic, local food , taste
