Filling After A Filling - Edit
Spiders. Clowns. Spider-Clown hybrids. The possibility of a Trump third term. Here we obviously have a list of terrifying things, but all these pale into comparison to my fear of dentists. The only silver lining of having to face my most dreaded of scenarios was that this long time target of mine was situated next door. So, as a means to appease the person who would be wielding power tools in and around my face, I popped in prior to my ordeal to get some gum with the promise to myself that if I was good, I could treat myself afterwards. Well, I was very well behaved so there was nothing left to do but reap the rewards.
Read moreAcross the board, all that I had was of an excellent calibre. A near perfect combination, the fresh, pillowy baguette and the creamy, tangy sriracha hummus went down a storm, but the best was yet to come. The soup was silky smooth and gloriously thick, the lentil salad and the lentil curry were equally impressive, and spicy red cabbage -while not spicy- was the surprise package in many regards due to how much pleasure I derived from it.
However, as splendid as these savoury provisions were, the sweets were just that much better still. Unlike nearly any biscuit I have had prior, the banana cookies were texturally unique, and no doubt not to everyone taste, but I for one adored them. Finally, the absolute hero of the piece: the brownie. Thick, fudgy, and rich, this substantial hunk of gooey goodness was pure indulgence, and I savoured every decadent mouthful.
Extremely pleased with what I had, I would definitely come back for more of the same, and also perhaps take the time to sample some of what the cosy looking cafe has to offer.

No more vegan options - Edit
It is so upsetting that Organic Cafe have removed all but one vegan option from their menu. Apparently customers have given feedback to management yet they don't care. They used to have vegan brunches, but now all you can get is an over priced Acai Bowl and a pumpkin curry.

Great shop, so-so cafe - Edit
I prefer their shops over their cafes. The shops really do have a good selection of things with a large number of vegan items, too.
Read moreThere's also an online shop on their website. My only criticism would be that sometimes items are out of stock and they can't tell you when they'll be available again (like nutritional yeast).
I have been to the cafe in the Greens a few times. It's okay, but it tends to get very busy. There's not that much for vegetarians or vegans on offer, although what there was tasted fine. I thought service was a bit slow.
Also, I personally feel that the cafes & shops are pushing meat dishes too much. Meat does not magically become okay top eat simply because it's labelled "organic" or "free-range".
Pros: Good shop, now also online, Central locations
Cons: Sometimes items are unavailable, Average fare in the cafes, Too much focus on meat

Dubai needs more of this place! - Edit
Where do I begin. I’m on vacation from Los Angeles, and I was so worried that I would not find any vegan options in Dubai. I drove in front of this place on the highway and immediately went in. It’s like a mini Whole Foods right in Dubai! We got vegan pizza and vegan brownies. I highly recommend it

The best organic supermarket in Dubai - Edit
Dubai is not, as most of you can imagine, the best place to find organic and fresh food - considering we are in the middle of the desert and about 90% of what you see for sale is imported and low quality.
Read moreOrganic Foods & Cafe has been a life savior for me.
They have a great selection of fruits, vegetables, and everything else you can find in organic supermarkets in other 'organic friendly' countries.
This does not mean everything in here is healthy - a lot of the products have a lot of sugar for example -, but considering the options, it's very very good.
Every 3rd weekend of the month, they offer 20% off in the final bill.
Pros: The biggest selection of organic products in Dubai, 20% off every 3rd weekend of the month
Cons: Pricey, Not everything is very healthy....

Biggest & Best Organic Store and Restaurant Dubai - Edit
This store has 2 locations, Dubai Mall and The Greens. The Greens is a smaller but cosier store which has been established the longest. Great variety all things organic. Dedicated bakery section. Restaurant does fresh lovely organic food. My only complaint would be there is not enough vegetarian options, but that is probably because I eat there all the time.
