Wonderful food and people - Edit
A little outside of the touristy Centre is Ongo.. Very good food. Very nice balance of salt, acid, umami. 10/10 would go again and recommend to others. We had lunch, dessert and coffee there. And it was great. Completely vegan, very friendly owners and good music as well. The coffee is Colombian and quite unique. Different than Italian coffee with its very intense, acidic and bitter taste. Much lighter and fruitier coffee.

Tasty, innovative vegan food and nice owners - Edit
I stopped in to Ongo after several acquaintances raved about it, and am very glad I did. The space is casual and inviting, and the mostly mushroom-based dishes are innovative and delicious. Plus, the owners are very friendly, interesting and engaging. Highly recommended.

Mushroom Heaven in Porto 🍄 - Edit
Ongo is a must-visit for mushroom lovers and one of the best vegan spots in the city. Their entire menu revolves around mushrooms, and the creativity shines through. I had the KFC-style burger and it was phenomenal—the crust was perfectly crispy, the flavor on point, and the orange slice added a brilliant, zesty twist. Easily the best vegan fried “chicken” burger I’ve had.

Lovely experience with super friendly staff. Amazing food, the daily special was just incredible and with peruvian inspiration. Colombian coffee brought by them and toasted by them here in Portugal. Make sure to reserve a table, you’ll not regret it.

We went tonight & met the owners who are just the loveliest people. We were kindly given a beautiful fruit salad starter. My partner had the smashed burger & I had the crispy. We were so impressed with the flavours & textures, mine was incredibly fresh with the handmade mayo & lettuce. Also the delicious freshly made dip with the fries was incredible. You can taste the love in this food.
