Rare Vegan Afternoon Tea

A lot of the Tokyo hotels offer Afternoon Tea, but unfortunately right now (Summer 2025) this is the only vegan one.
We were excited to try it, and were stunned by the gorgeous views of the restaurant.
The Afternoon Tea itself was unfortunately a bit average.
There were two savory items - an exquisite edamame and soy milk mousse and a mediocre taco. The sweets plate was really beautifully arranged, but considering what it consisted of, it felt hugely overpriced, and nothing really stood out. The coffee and teas were great.
The table next to us had the seasonal non-vegan afternoon tea, and their portions were much much larger.
I would definitely want to have another meal there, but I hope the food improves in the future.

Lots of options at breakfast

I stayed at Prince Gallery Hotel and really enjoyed the breakfast at Oasis Garden each morning! In addition to all the options at the buffet (including slices of delicious vegan cheese) you can order one hot dish. There is one vegan option, the vegan soy scramble. It's very tasty! They also have a variety of plant milks for coffee.

Vegan afternoon tea consulted by a vegan specialist

Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho Hotel started to offer vegan afternoon tea last summer at their restaurant All-Day Dining OASIS GARDEN on the 36th floor and change the menu every season.
I tried the 4th and the latest "Floating Garden", which was very satisfactory.

They made good use of seasonal vegetables and Japanese ingredients such as Japanese pepper, matcha, soybean flour, barley miso and amazake.
Three plates (sweet pastries, desserts in a glass and savories) which represent Earth, Water and Sky respectively, were so beautifully presented with dried ice smoke.

Rice flour scones went amazingly well with Japanese Hojicha (roasted green tea) and soy latte, but they also serve 5 herbal teas of PUKKA, 14 teas of RONNEFELDT and 3 other coffees.

The restaurant is situated 180m above the centre of Japanese Politics, so you can look down at the National Diet and enjoy the panoramic view of Tokyo.
The price is raised every time, but currently it costs 8050 yen per person (7000 yen plus 15% service charge).

You can check the menu online in English and get a little printed version of it at the restaurant.
Reservation for two or more people is required.
