Hip Speciality Coffee Shop; Great for Vegans!

Opening in March 2025, Nonno's Coffee have already made a name for themselves in Conwy. The coffee shop has two indoor sitting rooms, outdoor seating by the main entrance, and a spacious garden with many tables. The decor is bold and contemporary, but Nonno's is also styled with a few vintage pieces, some of which are labelled with a brief history of the objects. Nonno's has Wifi, and I noticed some board games available for use, too, if that's your thing!

As a speciality coffee house, Nonno's primarily focuses on the coffee. However, they also have some other drinks available such as a pour your own water dispenser, fridge with chilled drinks, teas and matchas. They also run seasonal drinks specials, and as I am writing this review at the beginning of summer, the specials mainly consisted of iced drinks, most of which could be made with plant milk. Some examples of seasonal summer drinks include Iced Mango Matcha, Banana & Chocolate Iced Latte, Posh Squash, and Iced Batch.

Nonno's have some food options, and a large number of these are vegan. They offer toast with spread, which includes vegan spreads such as peanut butter, and they also offer a small handful of ciabattas and always have at least one vegan option. Vegan ciabatta options include Veggies in Homemade Pesto with Rocket & Tomato and Vegan Caprese with Homemade Pesto. There was a larger amount of sweet baked treats available and four of them were vegan at the time of visiting. The vegan options include Banana & Pecan Muffin, Almond Croissant, Chai & Jaggery Loaf, and Peanut Butter Blondie.

I stopped by early morning, so I just went for coffee and a sweet treat. I had the peanut butter blondie as I have never seen that stocked anywhere before, and an Iced Latte with Oat Milk to go with it. The iced coffee came in a nice big glass, which I really appreciated as some places serve them in tiny glasses. The coffee was fab, and I thought the blondie was nice, too. I got so caught up in my book and the wonderful atmosphere at Nonno's that I ordered a second drink. This time, I went for a Tumeric Latte with Soya milk. It was incredibly good and is easily the best tumeric latte I've ever had!

Nonno's clearly care about catering to vegans as all plant milks (soya, almond, oat & coconut) come at no extra charge, and they have many vegan options all of which as labelled. The cafe is well curated, and the staff are very friendly and on the ball. A visit to this coffee shop is highly recommended!!

Pros: Plant Milk is Free, Stocks Four Plant Milks, Lots of Vegan Food Items, Vegan Options Labelled, Nice Staff, Great Atmosphere
