Delish! - Edit
Really tasty, varied menu - spicy, mild, noodle & rice dishes. Including a nice range of desserts. I would say for better ambience some music would be good.

Sen Viet Vegan - Edit
A small restaurant tucked away down a side street. I've never had Vietnamese food before so I was excited to try it.
Read moreI had the tofu coconut curry which came with rice or noodles (I had rice) and the bowl the curry came on was so hot the curry was still bubbling so you know its fresh. It had big pieces of veg and delicious tofu which was firm on the outside and soft in the middle not unlike the texture of Inari sushi pockets if you've had those. The sauce was creamy and not too spicy, and the veg was soft. Would definitely recommend.
My friend ordered fried rice and it came wrapped in a giant leaf which I thought was a nice touch.
The server was a bit rigid and quiet, but I think she was just shy
I would recommend this place if you ever fancy something a bit different
Pros: Lots of choice, All vegan

Went for lunch and tried starters and mains. It was delicious and all vegan so could try anything! Was quite expensive even with 15% discount.

Divine food - Edit
Great and delicious Vietnamese with a vast menu full of all-vegan options, both familiar friends and new finds. Great service as a cherry on top. The only minus we could find was the acoustics as the space got very loud with more people arriving as the evening went along. Overall a special addition to the Edinburgh vegan restaurant scene.

An innovative addition to Edinburgh’s vegan quarter - Edit
Sen Viet Vegan is a really innovative addition to what is becoming Edinburgh’s vegan quarter, Tollcross. So far I have been four times, and am working my way through the menu. I have found all the dishes to be very tasty, varied and colourful, and they are unfamiliar and new to me. Those which have tofu in them always have a generous amount of it.
Read moreMostly I have found service to be quick and courteous. The food always arrives surprisingly quickly.
It’s ‘mid-price’, with mains costing between £13.50 and £15.50, but for me, just a main dish is more than enough. Portion sizes are perfectly respectable, and not excessively large. I wish they would just admit that they only take cash, though, rather than pretending that their card machine is constantly broken.

Fantastic Pho - Edit
We’ve been to the London branch and were very impressed, so I had high hopes when I found myself on a conference in Edinburgh in need of an evening meal. I was not disappointed. The pho was the best I’ve ever had and I’m so glad I came here. Prices are reasonable, portions are great, and service strikes the right balance between attentive and relaxed.

Cravings satisfied - Edit
They have an good-sized menu featuring typical vietnamese food made plant-based. While I’ve had better pho elsewhere, they’re probably a vegan’s best bet in edinburgh.

The best spring rolls I have had in some time. Plenty veg and really crispy, fried food appreciation in Scotland, who would have thought it.

They have great and friendly service. The food had a very nice selection of spices that felt authentic to Vietnamese cuisine. Also the spicy food was quite spicy - that's a plus for me.

Best food I've had for AGES! - Edit
Oh my gosh! I absolutely loved the food here! Went with my friend, who's a veggie, and she agreed. We had the crispy pancake; a mushroom dish from the starters and the green papaya salad and it was all so, so good! Absolutely delicious! Best food I had in Edinburgh all weekend and the competition was strong. I've also been to Vietnam and thought it was really authentic.

We loved our main dishes, it was some new but amazing flavors for us! Starters were good but didn't taste very fresh. Staff was friendly but the atmosphere could use some improvement.

Stunning, super-delicious - Edit
Oh my goodness. This food is amazing. Fantastic choice that makes you want to try the whole menu, plant meat and fish substitutes are gorgeous, not too salty (which is often an issue), delicious, delicious and more delicious! We had the clay pot caramelised dish, the bun cha, a special fried rice and - to start with - the ha long fried cakes with mango salad. I want to live in Edinburgh just to be able to eat here every day!

Great menu - Edit
Really brilliant to have a fully vegan vietnamese in Edinburgh, the menu is big with a huge amount of variety. We had the starter plate which had a great range bits to try (tho I maybe wanted a little more). And then we both had the pho, which had a really delicious broth and spectacular tofu and veg.
Read moreIf we had one criticism it was that there didn't seem to be enough aromatics in each dish - we felt like we were missing herbs or lime or chilli and it meant none of the dishes really wowed like we'd hope.
Would definitely recommend tho!

Amazing food - Edit
Gorgeous food and friendly staff in this small, but lovely restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious. Only minor issue was that they only had one music track on repeat for ‘atmosphere’ but then turned it off when the restaurant was full, so only a minor detail! Would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area, and we will definitely return if we’re in Edinburgh again. Thank you!
