It was a truly bizarre experience: I stood outside the door in the evening, everything dark. I opened the door and said, "Hello, is anyone there?" A lady turned on the light and invited me in. She said she was alone and could only cook the two dishes on the daily menu. Only the Saturday menu, even though it was Sunday. So I ordered a mango lassi (200 kroner!) and the vegan main course.
Read moreAfter a while, I got the lassi. 0.75 litres (!). After that, I was actually already full. Then the delightfully friendly lady came over with a cup of tea. Fine herbal tea. After a while, she came back with a soup. Of course, I hadn't ordered that either. It was very tasty, a yellow lentil soup, well seasoned. I was about to burst when she finally came back with the main course. Two sauces and rice. When I tasted one of the sauces, I saw very large pieces of beef floating in it. Not really vegan. But since I could only communicate with the lady with my hands and feet, and that would have taken another half hour, I just ate it.
Everything was really delicious. The place seems to have fallen out of time. And for a place that seems so impromptu, it was surprisingly expensive.

The best food I've had this year - Edit
This place is basically mostly vegan, they have a lot of options and everything is beyond delicious. Full of flavor and unexpected combinations. Definitely try their herbal lemomades as well. The staff is also super nice and helpful.
