Cold pressed juice bar switched all-vegan in 2018. Offers light food which are mostly raw, such as energy balls and bars, sprouted salads, raw sandwiches and sweets. There’s no menu, but that’s because the owner—Dimitrios—is there to give you an unforgettable experience. If you don’t have a palette for raw food yet, this is a great place to start. If you’re already a healthy vegan, this experience will blow your mind.
Read moreHe will ask you of your food allergies and your preferences and then give you a fresh pressed juice that made me wake up and rejoice because I had finally found truly healthy food in Greece. After that he brought us out the best raw salad I think I’ve ever had in my life—a mix of fresh greens, some pickled vegetables, and sprouted lentils. He explained that he sprouts everything to make it live so it carries more energy and nutrition. After the salad, he brought us out homemade vegan ice cream and a raw chocolate brownie. It was amazing, not too sweet. We spoke with him as long as we could to absorb as much of his genius as we could.
Dimitrios truly is a master of raw food cooking. You will leave NektaR feeling full of real food, energized and awake.

Raw Confusion - Edit
There was no food menu and not even a list of ingredients for juice, so I was confused. I saw a patty, wrap, and a few "desserts." I chose a Choco Coconut, which was literally chocolate-covered coconut. The owner did give us two free samples, but I don't know what they were and I didn't like them.

The person working there was so helpful and friendly and gave us a sample of the juice before committing. All the food is really healthy and the salad we had was so colourful. We were brought a delicious sugar-free dessert.

The man who served us (who I think may be the owner) was really nice and friendly.
Read moreWe had a tasty salad meal there for lunch and he made us healthy fruit and veg drinks. Mine (by request) was very heavy on the ginger.
This is all sugar free so don't expect the smoothy drinks to be super sweet, they are natural and tastily healthy.
After we finished he then brought us a small selection of deserts to share for free, including vegan ice cream (surprisingly sweet for sugar free), berry paste, and a few more things (see my pics)

The owner of the place was super friendly. He explained every in detail and prepared a fresh juice according to my preferences. I also had a wrap who was prepared in the morning by the owner's sister and it was also very good! I had everything to take away and had it by the sea.

To find a raw vegan place is a rarity. This place is very cool, the owner is very friendly and eccentric in a nice way.

The only bummer was that a small bundle of sprouts had mold in them. The chef took the salad back and revised it to make sure nothing else was moldy. He was very kind and apologetic and brought me some juice as a courtesy.
The bread that came with the salad also tasted a little stale.

What to say… when we went in we didn’t expect much but it was THE place at Crete that surprised us most.

Had a little snack which was both - kinda sweet soul food (but no sugar at all) and healthy.
The owner gave us a taste of his very special ice cream creation (sunflower) with an outstanding topping of strawberry sauce.
We also ordered a wrap with a small side which was filling up two people. Everything there is raw food which makes it incredible healthy. It’s untypical to not using any spices, dips or sauces etc. but it’s a good and necessary experience to taste the original flavor of an ingredient as it is.
When we paid, he gave us more of his creations to give it a try. We were all set for the whole day and felt as good as we never did before when going to a Greek Tavern, where the food for the most part is more heavy in the stomach.
Pros: healthy, creative, very good price

Came to Nektar on holiday with our toddler and food was delicious. Everything is raw organic vegan, gluten free and sugar free. As a wheat intolerant vegan it's often hard to find food out and about so Nektar was great for me.

The person serving us (I didn't catch his name) was very friendly with us and our son and gave us a few different samples to test of the various foods and it was lovely. Highly recommend for a light bite in Chania.

At Nektar you can choose the ingredients for your juice, wrap and salad. They are all organic and most of them are also locally grown. However, what I loved most were the chocolate desserts with avocado and banana fillings. Last but not least, it was very inspiring to chat with the founders of this place: they are very knowledgeable and inventive and they gave us a few precious suggestions about preparing raw vegan dishes.
