Good for more american style dishes - Edit
I’m not a huge fan of the more american style Japanese vegan spots but Mr Farmer was a convenient spot in Harajuku. It’s also quite large so good for groups. My taco salad plate wasn’t my favorite dish in Japan by far but perhaps I just chose wrong.

Satisfying and convenient - Edit
After a morning of shopping this was the perfect respite to recharge. I love the motto: No Vegetables, No Life. And the food was great- my favorite was the creamy oat milk soup.

Copy, paste, improve - Edit
In the past years I've visited Mr Farmer in Hibiya a lot. When meeting with Friends, Hibiya is an easy to reach and nice to hangout location. The menu has a lot of variation, pleasing anyone.
Read moreSo now Mr Farmer opens in Omotesando. However, it is more than just a copy of the Hibiya branch. The Omotesnado restaurant uses the basic formula as a start and then improves on it. The biggest difference: Mr Farmer Omotesando is all vegan! The menu still offers a lot of variety with burgers, salads, sandwiches and desserts. I can highly recommend the buddha bowl.
Finally, the Hibiya restaurant is in a loud and busy food court (sometimes with the smell of meat from surrounding restaurants), while the Omotesando version is in a quiet backstreet. There's a lot of seating and the atmosphere is much more tranquil in Omotesando.
Pros: all vegan, varied menu, nice location
Cons: a bit pricy

Decently Tasty, Expensive, Opens Early - Edit
Mr. Farmer is a comfy restaurant with a relaxed ambiance and decent menu. I came through here because it was one of the only vegan restaurants in Western Tokyo that is open at that time of day.
Read moreI got one of their burgers and was satisfied with it. Nothing out of this world, but it hit the spot. There is some free naturally flavored water which is a nice plus for a budget eater. Other than that, the price is steep for a burger.
I think the price keeps it from being a 'definite visit' considering the stiff competition from other offerings in the local area, but there are a few things working in its favor.
All vegan ++
Nice ambiance that makes it suitable for a date or meeting +
Early opening hours(by Japan standards) +++
If I was out in Harajuku/Ometesando and needed a bite to eat in the morning, I'd definitely consider rolling through here. At other times of day, I think there are better options in the area.

Amazing food & original recipes! There are several Mr Farmer across Tokyo. Be careful because some of them are not fully vegan. (This one is though).

Great vegan spot near Harajuku - Edit
A bright and comfortable cafe on a quiet street, but very close to Harajuku. We got seated within around 10 minutes, and there's plenty of seating inside and outside for while you wait. They have a large menu of vegan food, and everything was super tasty and fresh. It was very fulfilling, and we left feeling energised for a day exploring the area. We travelled with 2 non-veggie people who also loved their food. 1 guest had a peanut allergy and the staff were very careful and clear in their communication, they accommodated it without any issues! Would definitely reccomend to anyone in the area, whether you're vegan or not.

Fresh and delicious - Edit
Was craving a salad and this place had several options. The Farmer’s Cobb was tasty, fresh and a really good portion. Was able to add a drink and cup of soup for ¥300 ($3 aud). I’ll def be back to try the carrot cake. All the desserts looked so good.

Surprisingly good - Edit
I initially thought this would be one of those overpriced restaurants, but it turned out to be quite good. The cozy atmosphere added to the enjoyment of the food.

Delicious food - Edit
Great food and easy to find! I had mushroom and basil croque Madame- which was so fresh and delicious! My partner had a noodle dish that he said was the best thing he’d ever eaten (although he says that a lot 😂). Slightly more expensive than some of the things we’ve had in Tokyo but compared to UK prices still pretty reasonable!

Delicious food! We loved the scrambled tofu, and the bread was great - warm and thick, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! Staff were very friendly, atmosphere was cosy and cute.

Tasty Burger but Expensive! - Edit
I had the soy cheese burger and a side salad. I would be lying if said it wasn't super delicious. Putting 4 starts though just because of how pricey it is. It's in a pretty upscale neighborhood. They water they offer is very tasty.

Excellent - Edit
I went with my wife and children 2 years ago to the former Shinjuku one but today's Mr. Farmer is a complete new experience.
Read moreIt was never bad but the place used to be more cramped and not 100% vegan.
The harajuku restaurant is beautiful and spacious. The food is flawless and the portion are OK. We tried 3 of the items in the menu, for me the classic burger was the best because of the grilled flavor of its patty. The Mexican salad was also very nice. The soup was amazing as a side dish. Also despite the crowd the service was fast.
Overall I couldn't ask for anything more. The only downside is that you pay the price for this quality (and location probably)
Pros: Amazing food, Comfortable seats, Clean and classy place
Cons: Pricey

A cozy place that is sure to offer something for everyone - Edit
This place offers what can best be described as vegan comfort food. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Staff doesn’t speak much English, but there’s an English menu. Ranging from salads and the like to began burgers and deserts for those who wish to indulge, the menu here will probably have something for everyone even in a group with quite diverse preferences.
