Disappointing - Edit
Our visit to Mr Döner was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were met not with a greeting, but with visible annoyance from three staff members who seemed more bothered by our presence than interested in serving us. There was no welcome, no eye contact, no courtesy—just an uncomfortable atmosphere that made us feel like we were intruding.
Read moreThe döner itself was dry and lacked flavor, and the loud, jarring oriental disco music only added to the sense of chaos and discomfort. Throughout the visit, the staff's attitude remained indifferent at best, if not outright unfriendly—even towards our 2.5-year-old toddler, who was completely ignored when he tried to hand over his empty glass.
When it came time to pay, I mentioned we had two Ayrans, yet instead of simply taking my word, the staff member asked my wife again—as if he didn’t trust my response. This was not only unnecessary, but also disrespectful. At no point did the person serving us make any attempt to engage, explain, or connect. There was no sign of care or effort, just a detached presence that seemed like he neither enjoyed his job nor cared about the customers—or the business.
I do not believe this individual is the owner, nor does he seem to have any interest in whether the restaurant thrives. The attitude projected was one of disinterest, perhaps even resentment. If working in hospitality feels burdensome, I would genuinely recommend seeking another profession. Customer service requires basic respect and a minimum level of human decency—neither of which were present during our visit.
Sad to say, but this experience left a poor impression. Hopefully, the management reflects on how staff behavior directly affects the reputation and long-term success of any business.

Lecker und gute Auswahl - Edit
Mit etwas Umstiegszeit am Freiburger Hauptbahnhof habe ich den Mr Döner besucht. Es war nicht viel los, somit bekam ich mein Essen schnell. Der Döner ist lecker, für meinen Geschmack ist etwas zu wenig von dem Seitan und zu viel Grillgemüse enthalten… war auf jeden Fall alles frisch und lecker. Preislich ok.

Great kebap! - Edit
We went here to get kebap, but they had a few other vegan options too. This place is definitely vegan friendly. And you can tell its a good restaurant by how crowded it gets during lunch time. It was super tasty! We took it home to eat it.

We also had the vegan Döner Pizza for the little boys. They got the yummy yam!
They have a corner with a small playground for kids!!
The service is super and they are very gentile.

Amazing vegan kebab! - Edit
We got the classic kebab and the kebab plate - both tastes amazing! The seitan was really good. Pricing is also good, the kebab plate was really big - perfect for people who like to eat high volume/calories. If you are not that hungry, the kebab is definitely enough. Mr. Döner is a place to show your non-vegans friends and get them to try a seitan kebab for sure.😄

The döner is a generous size! The seitan was very well seasoned, sauce was nice, and there was a lot of veg. All together, a good, classic vegan version of a döner.
