Really friendly owner - Edit
Very colorful place in the middle of the gray, hard city. All the ingredients are displayed in front of you and they look great. Owner is very talkative, makes an effort for you to feel welcomed. Had the avocado falafel. It was great. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible unassuming spot - Edit
I had the a great falafel wrap with avocado — Mr Blou mixes it up with some exotic additions like daikon and cilantro. You’ve got to see what its like, I’m planning on using something like his recipe next time I make a wrap.
Read moreMr Blou himself is a interesting guy, very real. The spot has a nice energy, flowers. Quite lovely
I ended up asking him about the bad review I saw of his by Tyropotistiri, since I questioned coming here when I saw it, and he told me what happened. She was apparently incredibly demanding, and started to personally insult him. The girl and her 6 friends ate the food, were happy with it, but then something happened and she decided to leave with her friends, without paying. I’d say ignore the review, he makes amazing food with passion and I’m so happy I came in here

Lunch at Westergas - Edit
Had a falafel wrap and a smoothie at Westergas festival last weekend. The place was super busy which meant the service was really quite slow. Smoothie a bit disappointing - quite pricey for what it was and was pretty warm. Wrap was super tasty but I was really disappointed to find a hair in my mouth as I was taking my penultimate bite :(

Mr Blou I hate you - Edit
One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. Though 'restaurant' is not the proper term for this place, because it's nothing more than a food truck permanently parked next to a pissoir on Elandsgracht, the owner seems to overlook that fact and charges the food and products as much as they would in a fancy restaurant in the center of the city (which would at least provide its customers with access to a basic wc where they can piss, [censored] and wash their hands afterwards). 20 euros for a 7 -course meal of tiny portions, which I wouldn't mind if 'Mr Blou' hadn't admitted that he's planning to raise the price to 90 euros.
Read moreI passed by last night as a friend was hosting her birthday party there. It was obvious that the owner was completely failing at managing a big group of people that came to his food truck to get the 20e menu. As a result, or at least according to his allegations, six people left without paying. Instead of handling the situation calmly and with patience, all the while understanding that it's a bit too ambitious for a tiny food truck with only two tables of sitting space to host and cook for such a big group of people and that it would take more than a maximum amount of effort to make this work, the owner lashed out at his customers for 'being rude and not paying as much as they were supposed to'. Though this arose from a misunderstanding where two people had only had one course and not the full seven-course menu, Mr. Blou (who was already on the wrong as a service provider who failed to keep track of who's getting served and what) didn't keep his calm and addressed them in a disturbing passive-aggressive and manipulative manner, going through an unnecessarily long conflict with them even though this could have been avoided from the start had he been a proper store manager who can keep track of his [censored]. While hysterically trying to prove himself to them, he grabbed one of the girls' arm as to keep her from interrupting him, and her friend then told him to not touch her. He then snapped at her and she told him 'she can call people' only to intimidate him, and of course this gave him the perfect excuse to legitimize the entire of his completely out-of-line, unprofessional behavior because 'he was being threatened', which resulted in him asking her multiple times to '[censored]-off' in front of every one. Needless to say how much this whole drama made every customer who was witnessing that to feel extremely awkward and disturbed. When that girl l

Amazing vibe & food - Edit
From far away you smell the flowers and incense, and then the taste... I had the fine dining dinner on saturday here and it was fantastic. It feels like an oasis in a city under construction, and you forget everything around you. Really good food with a touch of history, beautiful flowers, fun music. But how special you feel to have this kind of "garden style" food party in the middle of a busy street is really what lifts everything to the next level!

No. 1 Falafel in the world - Edit
I had a feeling about Mr. Blou. Taste buds: engage. Finest plant-based whole food dining in Amsterdam. Mr. Blou’s farmacy had a fine selection of fruits and vegetables. Before my falafel came out (love takes time) Mr. Blou prepared a special juice for me to heal my sore throat. The falafel came and then I did. When I bit into the falafel I tasted the knowledge gained from years of Mr. Blou growing up in his Mother’s garden with Tunisian and Italian cooking influences. You can taste the extra vitamin L in Mr. Blou’s food. My highest recommendation. Mr. Blou will heal the world.

This is a must stop in your vegan trek - Edit
Mr. Blou I love you is an amazing little stand that sells the most delicious cakes and other vegan treats. We stopped by and had a lemon poppyseed cake and banana bread and they were exquisite. My spouse and I have been vegan for 28 and 29 years respectively and we loved what we ate. Also Mr. Blou himself was warm and welcoming—we will definitely return as soon as we can and recommend it highly to others.

Restaurant quality at a food stand - Edit
After eating at the food stand called "Mr Blou I Love You" the owner asked: "how was the food?". My response was "Mr Blou I Love You". Let me explain why...
Read more"Mr Blou I Love You" is a vegan food stand in Amsterdam owned by Mr Blou. He speaks both Dutch and English and has proudly been vegan for 11 years now. The goal of his food stand is not to make as much money as possible, but to provide his customers with the best possible vegan food. I tried the falafel with avocado wrap plus the smoothie of the day.
The smoothie was absolutely superb. It was tasty, not too sweet, not too bland. It was thick, but not too thick. It was served in an environmentally friendly paper cup with a paper straw. It was topped with fresh fruit, just to give that little bit extra. And this is what makes Mr Blou so special: he offers a lot more than just your average product.
The falafel wrap took a long time to prepare, because the food stand is run by only one person. The food stand is so small, that some of the kitchen is actually stored in the delivery bike parked next to the stand (yes, the owner travels by bicycle, not by car). When the wrap finally arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. This isn't just basic falafel in a wrap, but a wide range of well chosen vegetables with exactly the right dressing in a wrap. The falafel was of excellent quality as well.
At first it seems to be an add name for a food stand. But with such great quality food one can only say: "Mr Blou I Love You"! What a name! What a great place!
Pros: big portion, fair price, excellent quality
Cons: long wait, very limited seating (only outdoors)

Best Falafal in my life - Edit
Good energy, amazing chef, fresh ingredients, very reasonable price and the best falafal ive had. Been to a lot of places and this is by far the best. Plus it is very much a hang out in Amsterdam. Prepare to sit down and relax. This is not fast food, it’s real food made from the heart by one guy when you order.
