For some unknown reason Uber Rides doesn't show up the correct location. Open Mon-Wed 9:30am-5:00pm, Thu 9:30am-7:00pm, Fri-Sat 9:30am-9:00pm. Kitchen stops 15-20 min before closing time. Open every other Sun for brunch or vegan BBQs.

My non vegan friends were all super happy as well.
We had the burger, the cauliflower and tofu nuggets, spring rolls, peanut noodles and delicious banana bread and brownie.
Everything was delicious and the portions really filling. Loved the flavour of the peanut noodles and the cauliflower wings were a crowd favorite.
Can highly recommend and we will definitely come again :)

I’ve been vegan for 3 years now, moonrise was the first vegan restaurant I discovered and visited and I was instantly hooked. The service is A rated from top to bottom, they have all kinds of vegan goodies to stock up with and the food…. Let me tell you, the food is amazing! my personal favorites are: the champion burger with pretzel bread, the moonrise fries, the shawarma, the cauliflower wings, the Sinaloa tacos, the margarita pizza etc etc. Veganism is a relatively new concept in Guatemala, it feels good to have a restaurant who is up to date with the movement. If you are vegan and plan on coming to Guatemala City, you must visit MOONRISE.

Had a bit of a hit and miss experience with this place. I had a late flight and had this delivered to the terminal, which worked out well.

I was so happy to find this place literally around the corner from my Airbnb. Ordered one of their hot dogs and a burger to go for a friend. They give you an appetizer of hummus while you wait, and I also ordered one of their cocktails. Everything was delicious and the place was really nice, no loud music or anything like that!

Best “Fast” Vegan Food in the City - Edit
Pretty good variety of dishes and I’d say the best place in terms of location in the city, however there’s been a decline in their food quality, the portions are significantly smaller and their prices increased (there’s just better options at their price range now).

Read moreSomething for everyone, from a light healthy taco salad (which was incredibly light and also filling) or Caesar salad (didn’t order), to peanut noodles w tempeh (my personal fave), to amazing loaded fries and breaded mushroom tacos (soooooo good), they have something for everyone. They also do a couple burger options, a falafel bowl and plenty of sides, such as corn cobs, chicken dippers and my personal fave thing on the menu which was the tofu nuggets.

Todo delicioso, buenas porciones y generosos en ingredientes. Lo único que cambiaría es la salsa de los spring rolls: la haría con soya y mantequilla de maní en lugar de soya y jengibre, pero los rolls muy riquisísimos de por sí.
La michelada que preparan es la mejor que tomé en Guatemala ya que le ponen Chamoy y la hacen con harta dedicación. El smoothie “berry good” increíble! Los postres los tuvimos que pedir para llevar ya que todo fue demasiada comida para compartir entre 3.

I had high hopes for this place given the great reviews, but I didn't enjoy my meal as much as I thought I would... The pretzel burger bun tasted like fake American wonder bread, the burger patty tasted like processed meat (good job replicating that I guess) and the nachos tasted like the kind with lots of added preservatives too. I guess if you like that junk food kinda taste you'd like it, but it wasn't for me. The photos of the noodles and tacos looked good so maybe these were the things to order but I didn't go back to try them. 3.5

Everything is vegan with a few different burgers, hot dogs, nachos, tofu and bowls to choose from. They also have some local artisan beers and a few items for sale in the store inside. I had the beyond burger with chips, all of it was fab!!

Ordered a burger here and the nachos, thinking one dish wouldn't be enough: it was. The dishes are pretty big and very delicious, although a bit greasy. The staff was very friendly, even though we arrived pretty late. They also sell vegan products, which I thought was great!

We got the papas moonrise, tachongos, and a mexbowl . Everything was amazing, huge portions, and incredible prices. Would come here again for an amazing experience. Its in a very nice area so the vibes were good. 10/10 recommend.
