Best vegan burger joint in the country so far - Edit
I’ve been to 46 states and I always crave Monty’s. This trip is my first time having the hot dog, I would say it’s by far the best vegan hot dog I’ve ever had. The burgers are always so juicy and flavorful. I’ve been trying to replicate it at home. I know people think “it’s just an impossible burger, Burger King Even has them” but this place has some sort of secret, I’m not sure what it is, probably crack I dunno. The milkshakes are delicious and super thick and hard to suck (that’s what she said) if you like thick things to suck this is it. I mean they do give you a spoon but what fun is that?

Good Late Night Burger - Edit
I arrived late at LAX and needed a bite to eat. This was the only place open past 10 in the relative vicinity. After a rental car pick up, I made a 20 minute trek to Culver City and got a double cheeseburger and strawberry shake. It was surprisingly filling, as I was about to order some fries too, but felt full. Places like this is why there are so many fat vegans.

Finally went to Monty’s and get what all the hype is for. IT’S SO GOOD! It’s like a vegan In n Out but better. My wife had the Monty’s meal with the grilled cheese, super yummy even though it’s basic. I had the Monty’s double and my son had the Monty’s single. Top 3 all time vegan burger. We shared the dogpile fries (secret menu item), it’s animal fries with 2 patties and 4 different sauces on top. Delicious. I had a vanilla shake and my wife had the cookies and cream, again Top 3 all time. I love that you can get a mini size shake instead of the full size.

Read moreIt was 11 pm at night, and I was craving some fast food. Lucky me, Monty’s was open (it’s rare to be able to get vegan food at this hour, much less fast food).
I got the double cheeseburger, and it was pretty good! The patty had a great texture and consistency. It was honestly hard to tell it apart from beef.
My only complaint is the price. The burger was $16 by itself (no sides) which is a little steep.

Veio meia porção de fritas com casca crocante e meia porção de algo que não faço ideia do que era, mas estava fantástico. Se eu tivesse mais tempo em LA, certamente voltaria ao restaurante.
Convém mencionar que a lanchonete também é muito agradável, bem ao estilo das casas de hamburgers americanas. O atendimento foi super cordial (inclusive eles que sugeriram o 50/50 na batata)
Se você estiver de carro é fácil chegar; a localização é bem central. Se você estiver de transporte público também - a estação de metro de Culver City está a uns 10 minutos andando.
