Tasty!

Never thought I’d enjoy haggis in my life. This was lovely though!

Funky spot

We had been to Stereo twice and went to Mono for lunch. It was good! Menu is a bit different and the space is funky and has outside seating. Lots of beers, full bar and coffees as well. We had the wee Mac and cheese and it was great. Burger and tofish were ok. Asparagus with blood sausage was really good. Bonus tip go to the chocolate shop right nearby for delicious vegan chocolates

Pros: Funky space, Menu variety, Daily specials

Relaxed dining option

A great place to come for a relaxed dining option. Huge, diverse menu which makes it very difficult to decide what to get 😂.
Indoor and outdoor seating options.
Food was delicious and very comforting.
We had the Mac and cheese - which was super cheesy, creamy and nostalgic.
We also ordered the nduja pizza - Spicy and satisfying oily 😋

Doughnut smores for pudding was insane, so sweet and such a treat 😍

Great food and atmosphere

Lots of lovely vegan options and great drinks menu. We both had the macaroni cheese, one topped with haggis. They were delicious. S'more doughnut pudding was amazing too.

Nice food menu and beer

The menu of the restaurant is diverse, so it was difficult to decide. The Hagis was very good and the pasta was also tasty. Nevertheless, it was very oily and the olive oil was unfortunately not flavorful. I really liked that the service takes orders at the table which I experienced the first time in Scotland.

Bar and restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating

I stopped by for a late lunch on a sunny afternoon and sat outside. The area is a bit gritty, but don’t worry the food is great. I had the Baja Fish Tacos, seemed to be breaded fried tofu? Soft tortillas, pickled onions, cabbage, pico de gallo, and cream sauce. I enjoyed the tacos! I also ordered fries because I was really hungry. The fries were hot and crispy, very nice.

Pros: Many customers brought dogs, Nice menu variety

Cons: Sitting outside, expect smoking

Our top vegan venue

Mono is a gem of a place. Myself and my wife MUST visit it every time we are in Glasgow. The food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere, the prices are all top notch. Been round the various menus over the years and probably tried everything between us. Bring back the vegan schnitzel please, we miss it dreadfully! And if in doubt try the Mac n cheese. Also has Monorail records in the same location with genuine indie superstars behind the counter. What more could you want? The answer, nothing.

One of my favs for years

Mono has been around for a while and it's definitely one of the best in Glasgow. I personally really love their mac n cheese, and their pizzas are also always really good. Good vibe with a record store as well.

Tofu fish & chips!!!

An all vegan place, hooray!! Been here a few times and it's always been good. I always have the tofu fish & chips as it's something I don't get to eat very often. It's delicious! Nice crispy batter and chips and tartare (sp?) sauce, served with lemon wedges. Good sized portion and a full bar too. Definitely recommend. No pic, as I was too hungry 😅.

Pros: All vegan, Plenty of choice, Outdoor seating

Great Tofish & chips!

Update January 2025: visited for a second time. I was not impressed. Service was very slow, staff avoided eye contact when I tried to call them, and also did not bring water to my table. Shawarma-loaded fries were quite a small portion, and subsequent sticky toffee pudding had almost no sauce and the ice-cream scoop probably could not be any smaller. Definitely not worth the price paid. I will still hope it was just a lapse, and give them another chance next time.

Visited for the first time, had absolutely great tofish & chips. Nice staff. Spacious place, very quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Need to come back to try more items from the menu!

Excellent!

Have been here loads and it's always good but omg everything we ate today was divine. Had the baja tofish tacos to start, the "spicy one" burger (absolutely beautiful, nduja was gorgeous and the "hot honey" was amazing, made the burger sweet and spicy and the seitan was amazing) and then had the s'more donut to finish. CANNOT recommend that highly enough. Only thing I got a photo of. The photo doesn't do it justice, the most gorgeous dessert I've had in ages! Yum! Really friendly service too!

It’s okay

I’ve been several times and as much as I want to love it I always leave feeling it could have been a bit better. I always seem to prefer Stereo. It also feels like the price is quite high for the portion size, particularly they are a bit stingy on the chips which it wouldn’t take much to up the portion quantity. Most recently I had the satay bowl which I was a little disappointed with.

Beautiful food, cool setting and lovely staff

I had two starters instead of a main as couldn't choose. The tofish tacos and haggis potatoes were to die for (and the portions were generous).

Excellent food

Having just arrived in Scotland, I searched high and low online for some mac and cheese as it is my favorite food. Glad that I found the menu for Mono. I wish I had extra stomachs because the menu looks so good. We tried the Spicy Sausage pizza, the mini mac and cheese and the To-fish & chips with mushy peas (because why not?) Everything was excellent. All the flavors and textures were great. I cannot wait to go again.

Note: We arrived on a Friday at 12pm when they opened. I noticed some reviews say that the service is slower and I could say that was correct but if you go there when you are not rushed, you won't be disappointed. When we wanted to leave, we just went to the counter and paid our bill.

Must visit in Glasgow

This is a chill, relaxed place with outstanding food and friendly staff.
As a vegan visiting Scotland for the first time, I took a huge mental leap by ordering the ‘haggis burger’. Not sure and don’t want to find out how close it is to actual haggis. But the vegan version was tasty and filling!

Fish & Chips!

Finally found a place that has good vegan fish and chips, and loads of other great dishes (vegan Mac & Cheese for example). Great food, nice people, fine beers and overall a good place that has a killer record shop integrated as well, and they also host live gigs in here quite often. If you only have time to visit one place in Glasgow, let it be Mono!

Pros: All the vegan food, cool place with record shop, very nice staff
