Cozy little place serving traditional matcha w/ lovely staff - Edit
Had a lovely experience at Moko's Matcha. The place is small and cozy, w/ interesting decor and also sell matcha kits, and other matcha related things. The staff we met working there were very polite and kind. There was multiple vegan (& gluten-free & sugar free) options labelled on the menu. As a frequent matcha drinker, it was nice to try a more traditional version. I had the hot matcha w/ oat milk, and my partner had the same but w/ coconut milk, both nice. We also tried the red bean cake and the strawberry mochi. We didn't love the mochi but it might be just a personal thing cause we've never bought mochi out before, and other reviews were quite positive. The red bean cake was nicer. We also tried the Matcha Base, which tasted similar to green tea. Overall a nice place, and would definitely visit again if I was in the mood for some traditional matcha.

Great many options and all the vegan stuff is well labeled. If you like matcha, this is the way in Milan: straight, latte, deserts. Mochi are huuuge and not too sweet!

J'ai été assez déçue de voir que de nombreuses options vegan à déguster ont été retirées de la carte (notamment le tiramisu au matcha que je voulais absolument goûter), mais ce n'est pas grave car j'ai tout de même passé un excellent moment.
Read moreL'ambiance du café est cosy, relaxante et la décoration très jolie. Vous y trouverez tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour préparer un matcha réussi. Pour ma part, j'ai dégusté un latte froid au lait d'amande. Le lait est fait maison dans le shop et la boisson préparée sous vos yeux. La quantité est plus que respectable (vous êtes servi dans un grand bol avec des glaçons). Le matcha n'est pas sucré, et le goût du matcha vraiment présent et subtil à la fois.
Je recommande vraiment de s'y arrêter si vous voulez prendre un bon matcha, fait dans les règles de l'art, surtout par temps de chaleur à Milan ! 🌱

Wonderful matcha shop with a lot of vegan (and gluten free) options! Everything tasted very fresh. I enjoyed the strawberry mochi and my husband enjoyed these red bean cakes. We both had wonderful matcha latte with oat milk. Someone else came in and ordered the vegan torta after us which looked great. The owner was very nice. Definitely recommend!

Purtroppo, la qualità è scesa molto rispetto a quando ci andavo qualche anno fa. Una volta servivano il matcha nelle tazze da cerimonia, lo preparavano, se non sbaglio, secondo il metodo della scuola Omotesenke e il matcha era come quello che si può bere durante una cerimonia del tè, ricco e con la caratteristica tipica di sporcare la tazza muovendolo. Questa volta me lo hanno portato in una ciotola tonda, tipo quelle del riso; inoltre, il matcha era molto allungato con acqua, rendendolo quindi molto leggero, e ruotando la tazza non lasciava residui, facendo capire che la quantità usata era molto bassa. È vero che ho preso il matcha "base" e che c'era la possibilità di prendere matcha premium o superior e di scegliere se averlo più allungato (usucha) o più forte (koicha) per un prezzo aggiuntivo, ma quando ho chiesto la differenza tra le diverse denominazioni nel menù, non hanno saputo dare spiegazioni, oltre a ribadire che la qualità è migliore. Avrei preferito vedere la confezione e avere più informazioni sulle proprietà. Tuttavia, ritengo che anche un matcha di qualità "base" avrebbe dovuto essere preparato come si deve e, soprattutto, rispettando le quantità.
