Two different types of Struklji

Quite nice, they also do takeaway. Unfortunately no gluten free option

We had the mango one. Good to try, wouldn't need it again, but fun to try. We shared one with three people, which was nice as it is quite a lot and we really weren't so hungry and just wanted to try

Daily offers, vegan options

The Restaurant has daily changing offers of soup and Struklji-Dumplings with vegan options.
We tried the Chili sin Carne Soup which was tasty. Also the vegan Fruit Struklji of the day which was Mango – very delicious and not too sweet.
Great place to try this dish!

edit: went back to try the vegan chocolate struklji which was the best chocolatey dessert ever! Super sweet tho and a big portion – I recommend sharing one

Liked the Dumpling, but only two to chose

When we went there, they only had two sweet and one savory dumpling - I chose the one with strawberry, which was quite nice but maybe a little to sweet and sticky for me - since this was my first dumpling of that kind I think, they have to be like that. So very nice experience and a must try, imo.

Interesting and nice tasting

I had mango dumpling from the booth on the foodmarket and I like it :). It is different then usual european dumpling, but also good.

Delicious

We had a savory mozzarella dumpling which was nice but could have had a bit more flavor. The chocolate dumpling was really good tasting but was still a bit cold inside. It was a bit expensive compared to the non vegan dumplings. All in all it was great to taste a Slovenian dish.

Buoni, avevano anche pensato un piatto del giorno vegano

Mi è piaciuto molto lo struklji agli asparagi! Ho provato anche la zuppa vegana del giorno a base di peperoni e tofu affumicato, davvero buona

Glad that there are vegan dumplings options!

We could choose between three vegan dumplings today: chocolate, strawberry and wild garlic. Some days there are more. Because seating inside is limited and it rained we took the dumplings home with us. Portions are big therefore filling.

Pros: Very tasty! , Very filling!

Cons: Limited Inside seating

Out of half the options and no flavor

They have some options for lunch and daily offers which had a few vegan options but when we asked for them they were out of all except for soup and the vegan pumpkin morzarella dumpling, the soup was okay but the pumpkin morzarella only tasted oily and of vegan morzarella. I wouldn't return.

Nice spot!

We went there hungry, but not too hungry. I ordered the cabbage stew, which was with sauerkraut and some beans and the raspberry struklji. The stew came with two slices of bread and we're more filling than I thought. Therefore, I could only eat half of the struklji and my partner finished the other half. All good tasted very good (also the meat one of my partner), so we are planing to come back tomorrow

Super filling

I had the vegan chocolate option and it was a huge portion, delicious and really filling.
I went with some Slovene friends and they love it too.

Amazing chocolate but savory not great

We had the vegan vegetable and chocolate dumplings and the quinoa salad. The quinoa was overcooked and the dressing ingredients - vinegar, oil, salt, pepper - was on the side. A bland experience. The vegetable dumplings were too mushy and just a big soft ball of..?? The chocolate dumpling was delicious though and I’d come again to get that😄

Delicious, authentic food

We got advised from our landlord to try out this place, and I'm glad we did! :)
It's clearly marked what's vegan, and also for vegeterians, and it felt really slovenian. I've never had anything like it before, and I liked it!
It took a little while to get the food but it was worth waiting for it. For those who are non-vegan it's a lot of options, mostly sweet ones.

Pros: Easy to find vegan options, The taste!, The environment.

Cons: Not fast-food (if you're looking for that)

Delicious, affordable, authentic

I’d give this place 5 stars if I could! My (non veg) partner and I stopped by for a quick late lunch to go on our first day in Ljubljana. I got the vegetable option (which was asparagus that day). Absolutely incredible! He even liked my dumpling more than his and ordered the same one the next day. The second time I ordered a raspberry dumpling to try a sweet flavor - also delicious! Dumplings cost under €6 and are very filling, so they were perfect for the price especially in a very touristy area. It was nice to experience an authentic part of the cuisine that I haven’t seen in any other country. Must try if you are in Ljubljana!

Pros: Vegan version of authentic food, Affordable, Clearly labeled options

Fruit dumpling was delicious

I only needed a snack instead of a meal so a fruit dumpling was perfect. Friendly staff.

Dumpling experience

We wanted to try the local dumplings. They had 2 vegan options at the time. We tried the raspberry one. Quite tasty.

Note that even though the dumplings are already on display, it will take about 10 min to heat it. So take that into account of you are in a hurry. It was worth the wait though.

Pros: Inspiring building

Delicious chocolate dumplings!

The restaurant serves meat. However, the vegan dumpling I tried was very delicious and not expensive. There are only three vegan dumplings on the menu.

Must try in Ljubljana

I had the vegetable dumpling and it's definitely worth a try! It gets served with a breadcrumb-sauce. It's a little bit greasy, nevertheless the next day I got a second one because it's a nice, quick and filling snack!

Interesting dumplings

We never had Slovenian dumplings so it was really interesting to taste! We had two sweet ones (one wasn’t on the menu but the staff knows what’s vegan).
Sadly the savoury one with vegetables wasn’t available so we can’t rate these one.

Tasty Slovenian dumplings

We wanted to try some traditional Slovenian food. There were several vegan options (vegetable, plum, raspberry, blueberry, chocolate) available. We tried the vegetable, chocolate and blueberry dumplings. They come warmed up (which takes like 15 min) and some sauce poured over it. Everything was very tasty and filling.

Interesting but not convincing

They have three vegan dumplings - we tried the savoury, vegetable one. They took very long to warm it up, the waiters paid no attention to us, and the dumpling had a very mild/ slightly boring taste. Not bad, just unexciting. We wanted to try the chocolate one but after the waiters ignored us for another ten minutes, we gave up.

Other places in Ljubljana are more interesting, less crowded and also offer traditional Slowenian food

Never had a rolled dumpling before

Very clear vegan options and very knowledgeable staff. We sat outside with a vegetable soup and a rolled vegetable tofu dumpling, it felt very nice to be able to have local cuisine veganized without having to jump through hoops.

Afterwards we regretted not tasting a sweet dumpling as well! They have seasonal options so ask for them

Nice daily menu

I had a daily menu option, pumpkin/chickpea curry. It was more like a soup, but very enjoyable. Ordered at 6pm while the daily lunch menu officially runs until 3pm.

Veganised local cuisine

Really enjoyed being able to try some vegan versions of local cuisine! They had a few options of both sweet and savoury. Very filling meal, €13.50 for the stew and dumpling.

Pros: Good portion sizes
