Wow! Just wow! - Edit
I got the Crazy Margarita burger, which may have been the best burger of my life. The patty was some sort of quinoa-based chicharrone and was unlike anything I’ve ever had. The side of potatoes were great, as was the vegetable focused quesadilla appetizer. Excellent coffee as well. I hope I have a chance to visit again.

We tried the pesto pasta, taco trio, and a chocolate banana cake for dessert. The food is high-quality and came out fast, although was a tad bland for my liking. Would still go back and try more of the menu.

Probamos el aguacate relleno Quechua y la hamburguesa Frida, ambos platos absolutamente espectaculares. La porción es generosa, los sabores y texturas muy bien equilibrados, el emplatado es precioso. Mestizo es un lugar al que sí o sí hay que ir, su activismo y los carteles del lugar también hablan muy bien de quienes trabajan y resisten desde el veganismo allí. Muy recomendado.

We tried the pasta and the seitán steak. We arrived early so we were served fast, the seitan dish was good however it did not have much flavor, pasta was a bit sticky and again not much flavor, both dishes were okay but not wow for the price, the portions were good though.

The menu doesn't include many items that have a variety of vegetables such as broccoli carrots celery squash, etc. There are several pasta and burger meals, and meals with potatoes. They do not offer a fixed meal of the day. Everything is a la carte from the menu.

Good vegan restaurant in an area that our driver didn't approve of - Edit
Our driver, who is probably used to foreigners going to fancier places, was not in favour of us going to eat in this area, but it was really good.
Read moreWe got the arroz chauffa and ceviche cartillero to eat and chicha morada to drink, and it was all super good. My girlfriend who loves Peruvian food was especially happy with the arroz chauffa which tasted exactly like the non vegan version to her.
There's lots of options on the menu and the portions are very generous.
I recommend coming early, by 12.45 the restaurant was already completely full.
