Fun experience, decent options - Edit
Stumbled onto this place while looking for the closest vegan options to our hotel and didn’t read up thoroughly on the fact that it’s an experience-based restaurant. Ended up waiting almost two hours before we had food in front of us so be warned - best to make a reservation ahead of time.
Read moreWe did enjoy the food but honestly it was nothing mind blowing (the ramen tasted like 2min noodles). Still a good, well thought out experience and the staff were lovely. Owner was funny. Worth a visit if you want something different and have time to spare.

Incredible Experience and Delicious Food - Edit
My best friend and travel buddy who isn’t a vegetarian said she was craving ramen and we came here just because it was close to where we were at and had vegan options. I thought fire ramen was marketing for hot or spicy so I was quite surprised and thrilled when serving our ramen they lit it on fire! This restaurant is as much an experience as it is delicious food. The vegan options are clearly labeled. I recommend having a reservation as it’s a small restaurant and not able to easily accommodate walk-ins.

Read moreThe staff were so nice as well, with many speaking English. One of the staff was a vegetarian, almost vegan, and she even recommended some vegan places for me to check out when I visit Osaka! At the end I had a cute origami made for me too :).
The fire part is not for everyone though (I hated it because I have a fear of hot stuff) but I knew what was coming and was prepared. It was much more fun watching the staff do it for other customers though!

In Japan it isn't that common for there to be places serving both vegan and non vegan dishes, so this place was an amazing find! A separate vegan menu, serving ramen as a main, with several vegan sides!! Food tasted great and portion sizes were huge - I didn't manage to finish everything!! It was more expensive than a visit to a regular ramen restaurant, but it was worth it - wee "extras" you don't expect, including a kimono style jacket to take away with you, stands for your phone in the kitchen area so you get a video of the fire, a wee origami animal made by staff at the end... We both loved it and would highly recommend it for a special night out!!!

The most fun I've had in Japan! - Edit
From wearing a paper apron, to watching your food go up in flames, the experience is as perfect as the food! Great veg menu. And they asked if I ate egg. Very thoughtful. Vegan broth, soy cutlet, vegan sushi among other things.

Les ramens sont bons mais pas incroyables, en revanche j'ai pris le set de sushis veggie avec et c'était très bon. Le staff est hyper sympa, le show impressionnant et le proprio nous a même donné des infos pour faire des visites de petits lieux cachés dans la ville ! Un peu cher, mais ça valait le coup

Menu has a specific veggie page. I think most options from the veggie menu are vegan too, as we offered rice and they checked if we ate eggs. We particularly liked the gyoza and fake fried chicken. The flaming ramen is really fun too.

It's pretty much a "tourist trap" - they put on a nice show though. If you're up for that it's ok. Interestingly, we were charged more for leaving something out of a set meal than having the whole set meal.

The fire show was amazing. He offers you to take a video of you while he serves the fire ramen. I got the vegetarian fire ramen special set. The ramen and the gyoza were very delicious. In the end you can get a cool Fire ramen badge, if you order the special set. It was a great and unforgettable experience. But it isn't cheap.

I went to this place, I didn’t want to order Ramen because it was to hot to have soup, so I ordered just fried rice and vegan gyosas.
Read moreThis item weren’t on the menu by themselves, they were included in “ramen, rice and gyosas pack”, I asked the staff if I could have just the rice and they said yes.
When my rice arrived it was tasteless, very plain and nothing special, they charge me 1150 yen for this dish, extremely expensive for that rice, then when I complained the staff try to justify this price saying it was special and not on the manu.
Awful, it is expensive and my friend said the ramen not vegan ( she had) was not good

The best vegetarian ramen in Kyoto - Edit
Amazing and entertaining ramen experience. Short wait on a Saturday night, but the turn around was quick and the food and fire show was definitely worth the wait. The vegetarian ramen set, friend rice and vegetarian gyoza were the best. They also cater for vegan and state allergens on all their sauces.

No ramen no life - WoW! What an experience! The staff was soo warm, they take pictures and videos for you, guide you for local sightseeing and even have instructions for you in you’re native language! The head chef gave our instructions in Hindi!!

The show is great, definitely a good pick if you have a large party. Vegan ramen was bland, the thing I tasted most was the chili oil that I added to it- the only topping was what seemed like infinite scallions. V gyoza was pretty good😄

The Ramen itself was really delicious and tasteful.
You could taste the fire in the soup.
I definitely recommand a visit.

I won't write too much because I don't want to give away the secret, but the vegan ramen here is absolutely delicious, and the staff who have a lot of knowledge about veganism take care of everything. It's a popular restaurant, so you may have to wait in line, but it's definitely worth it.

The restaurant accepts people in groups of 8 to 12. If you don't make it into the group, you have to wait for another one. Two groups are served at a time, with a single group taking around 30 minutes. The menu is small and straightforward. The service is nice and thorough.

I got ramen and a set of gyoza. Ramen noodles were great, but the broth was rather bland (this made the whole meal rather bland compared to T's tantan or Kyoto engine ramen). A whole set of spices were available but that didn't help that much. Gyoza was decent.
