Authentic yet elegant indian in the heart of Oslo - Edit

Read moreFirst time I visited I had a delicious (vegan) dosa, second time around I wasn't as blown away though.
- Punjabi samosa 149 nok (crispy golden triangles filled with spiced potatoes and herb mixture, served with a fresh chutney)
- Chana masala (classic chickpea stew from Punjab with indian spices) 239 nok
The samosa was crusty and nicely plated, but didn't taste that much.
The masala was pretty tasty, but not astonishing.
It's an hospitable, modern place with really good food, I just wish they'd have a few more vegan options.
Pros: When it's good, it's really good!, Charming staff
Cons: Could have more vegan options, Dishes (starters & curries) could be bigger

Flavorful Indian Reservations Important - Edit
We didn't have a reservation, but stopped in from the Svanen cocktail bar downstairs. We were seated rather quickly once we assured the staff we would not linger. The food came quickly and was very tasty. There were several vegan choices and they were clearly labeled. We were in an out in less than an hour. Make a reservation so you can really relax and enjoy your meal and the ambiance at this lovely restaurant.

Good Indian resteraunt - Edit
They just made whatever I wanted vegan. I had black lentils with garlic and tomatoes, and it was really tasty. The food is prepared quickly and the resteraunt is okay.

Seems to be a popular Indian restaurant. Stylish design. Food tasted very good. For an Indian restaurant (where the cuisine is more easily adaptable) they could increase their vegan i options with little extra effort.
