Upscale vegan restaurant with a sophisticated atmosphere, opened 2014 in the trendy district 4. Uses seasonal vegetables and fruits from the region. Simple and quick lunches and monthly changing dinner menu with focus on creativity, no meat substitutes. Food is made-in-house including bread and pasta.
Note May 2020: confirmed reopened with limited seating. Tables can be reserved online. Open Tue-Fri 11:30am-2:00pm, Tue-Sat 5:30pm-11:00pm.

We spent a wonderful evening at Marktküche. We ordered the seven course dinner with wine, which took us several hours to eat and drink. Service made us feel very welcome and the food was so delicous. It was magic.

Went for dinner and chose the 6 course menu for 109 frs. It ended up being more like 10 courses, we lost track.

Not all were as spectacular in taste but some definitely were.
We were full at the end but not heavy at all.
High quality but not fancypants.

I took my fiancé here for his birthday and it was an unforgettable evening! We enjoyed the 8 course tasting menus, filled with extra little surprise gifts from the chef and an exciting palate cleanser, Jambu, which felt like electricity in your mouth. It was fantastic! The chef was very accommodating to our preferences/allergies (no mushrooms or corn) and the food was so inventive and exciting. Busy in the evening so do make a reservation in advance, and drop a note if it is for a special occasion. They added sparklers to our dessert and we found out there were 5 other birthdays being celebrated within the restaurant! Would love to come back and will certainly recommend it to anyone in the area.

The food is innovative, but does not go that extra step to being great. Some things were simply under seasoned, the mushroom pan for example was very disappointing.

Had a wonderful dinner here in January 2018. Couldn’t decide what to get so I rolled the dice and got the five course tasting menu which allowed me to sample a variety of dishes. Two were great, three (including the welcome cauliflower tartare) were fantastic, and one (a carrot saffron broth that was a little salty) missed the mark. Service is excellent and friendly, atmosphere is lovely. 100% worth a visit, and best to make a reservation since the place is busy.

I just had an awesome dinner with my girlfriends here. We all got the 5 course dinner. Every dish was so delicious, local and seasonal ingredients, no meat-replacements. Very high end and different from what you know. It’s expensive, but worth every cent!
