Matcha tiramisu!!! Wow! - Edit
This place had so many offerings! We tried the strawberry shortcake which had very tasty strawberry flavoured cream. The matcha tiramisu however was a show stopper - WOW. Matcha soy later (iced) was also incredible !
Read moreWe went back for the regular tiramisu, cheesecake, and lemon roll and all were incredible too - ESPECIALLY the lemon roll - it was mind blowing!

A bit expensive - Edit
But good! Both the matcha and strawberry shortcake were good. If I was in the area I would come back. But not worth it otherwise.

Amazing little cafe - Edit
The food is slightly pricier than in a few other places but it's worth the money and it's still affordable. More of a breakfast / afternoon snack kind of place. I recommend going before noon or 1pm because some items sell quickly. I went around 1pm and they were out of their daily special katsu sando already😒The seating is limited because the cafe is really small. Staff is nice, quick and speaks some English.
Read moreLots of yummy looking things, it was hard to pick what to eat. We had fresh OJ, a matcha latte and the strawberry shortcake. Everything was delicious.
I wish we didn't save this place for our last day in Tokyo so we could go more times. I definitely recommend and will be back!
Pros: Great selection, Near Shinjuku Park
Cons: Very small interior, Needs more salty options

Delicious 🍓🍰 - Edit
I am blown away by the strawberry cake and have no idea how it is vegan. Easily one of the best pastries I’ve tasted in 18 years of being vegan.

Amazing - Edit
We ended up having to come here twice because it was so good. The cheesecake, the strawberry cake, the lemon cake, the pies, the tarts. Everything looked good and all of the stuff we tried was delicious.

Great compacted bakery - Edit
Most (if not all) desserts in the display are all GF, yet they don’t taste like it at all. Strawberry shortcake is immaculate, the sponge was soft and pillowy, the cream is not too sweet and the tang of strawberry is blending harmoniously.

Hit and Miss - Edit
We visited as a trio and one of us gave a 5 star rating and the other two of us gave it 3 stars, so it has averaged at 4.
Read moreThis is a tiny cafe which was very busy when we visited, with people queuing out the door at times. It was totally full inside, so we had to sit outside. There were quite a few cakes to choose from.
The person who gave it five stars definitely ordered the best items. She had a sakura smoothie, which was lovely and thick with a strong cherry flavour. She also got the strawberry tart, which was sensational. It had a lovely case and frangipane style layer, with jam, cream, and plenty of strawberries all combining to perfection.
The other two of us got the strawberry cake, and were underwhelmed. It was extremely light on strawberries, such that most bites did not include even a hint of strawberry flavour. The sponge was light but not really spongy in our opinion. A lot of the other reviews rave about the cake, so perhaps this is just personal preference. The cream was lovely, and it was a decent sized slice.
I tried the iced matcha latte, which was well balanced, and my partner enjoyed a cafe latte.
I would go back for my own strawberry tart, but not for the cake, unfortunately.

My new favorite cake - Edit
The strawberry shortcake might be the best cake I’ve ever had. It’s so light and airy, not too sweet. Just perfect.

Amazing Pastries & Sandwiches - Edit
Really superb vegan versions of cakes and puddings. I had an incredible cheese cake, which is the first time in about 10 years (ie since I went vegan) I’ve tasted something like that! They also have a savoury sandwich of the day (I had an ‘egg’ sandwich) which was delicious.

So good I’m writing the review now - Edit
Normally I wait to get home before writing up my reviews, but there’s always a risk I’ll forget. Not this place. It deserves better.
Read moreI think Japan has a reputation for being a good host, if it’s true then it’s because of places like this.
But the cakes… given I come from a country obsessed with cake (UK) and live in a country renown for patisserie (France) I have high expectations. I was awestruck by the variety and appearance of the amazing offering at Marbre Vegan. I struggle to make decisions at the best of times, so this was extra hard.
And it’s not all looks and no flavour either. The banoffee tart was absolutely delicious. I could have perhaps done with a smidge more banana but the cake itself was perfect and with that much cream it’s hard to go wrong.
Oh and it’s just outside a park. Both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a road unfortunately but it’s not especially busy.
A bit of Japanese will get you a long way, but the staff will make an effort with English. The menu is available in English too.
I will be back!
Pros: Delicious, Service, Choice
Cons: Road traffic in front of seated area

Marbre Vegan - Edit
Venue
Read moreA petite cafe. Surprising amount of tables and seats inside considering. Also some tables and chairs outside if the weathers good. Very charming decor.
Service
The staff are like a gang of the most charming ladies. The speed and efficiency combined with their happiness is something to behold. It’s like something out of a fairy tale almost. It’d be easy to say Ghibli-esque but maybe Dahl-esque would fit better.
Food
I had the “egg” sando and a slice of strawberry cake. Both of them were absolutely flawless. It seems they alternate between a katsu sando and an egg sando each day of the week so I will absolutely be back for the katsu sando. Very handy that my hotel is less than a 10min walk away.
Price
I think it was 750jpy each for the sando and the cake. Which I would pay daily for the rest of my mortal life.

Lovely cake - Edit
Passed this cake shop after visting the nearby garden. Though tiny, it offers a wide selection of cakes that taste incredible. As always, the portions are small but the quality is beyond what I expected. I would personally recommend the Blueberry and Lemon roll. You could clearly tell they used fresh ingredients and real blueberries and lemon for these bakes. We also tried the apple cake and cheese cake - despite being tasty they were less memorable.

well - Edit
it looks good. but it doesnt taste good. tiramisu is edible but not tasting like it should be. low carb shortcake was good. the actual strawberry shortcake had like half of a strawberry altogether and the cream and dough were both tasting way off. which again, seems to be typical in japan...

Delicious "egg" sandwiches and sweets. The sandwich flavors alternate during the week. They have one flavor per day and it's either the "egg" or "cutlet." I love how close it is to the national garden.

Tasty vegan cafe! - Edit
We ordered the strawberry cake and the apple cake, both were lovely. We bought some of their sandwiches to take as a packed lunch for a long journey the next day, and they were so full and tasty. You could also eat them in the restaurant (not take away only). The staff were lovely and are vegans themselves. It was difficult to find vegan desserts in Tokyo, so we were grateful to have found this place!
