Best restaurant in Flores - Edit
We visited Maracuya 5-6 times during our 4 day stay in Flores. No doubt it's the best restaurant in Flores with a wide selection of vegan options. Vegan Pepián and vegan jocón, Buddha bowls, smoothie bowls, great cocktails, plant milk available. Great quality, beautifully presented, friendly staff.

Not lots going on in this island for vegan options but this place was pretty good. The pesto pasta was somewhat bland but fine, as was the burger, but the cauliflower wings were amongst the best I've ever had

This is the best place for vegan options in Flores. I got the cauliflower wings (sauce is not vegan) and vegan curry. Very good and patio is very nice.

Visited for lunch and was blown away by the view, value for money and friendly staff. The mushroom skewers and Pepian went down a treat and all the drinks are fantastic. We booked for dinner the next evening with friends (in the evenings they were usually at max capacity from 6:30 onwards) and had another nice meal but our server basically forgot about us - I had to ask at the front desk 4 times for things they had forgotten. We were there for nearly 2 hours before they had served all our food, despite us sending our order ahead of time. Overall they were nice but a bit clueless, so probably better to go at lunch when they are less busy.

As dessert we ate the cake "Carolata" (or something like that) and a brownie to go. I enjoyed the brownie very much. The cake was good.
For drinks we ordered Kale Mango Smoothie and Naranjada. The smoothie was great, the naranjada was less like an orange juice with water mixture and more of an orange slush ice.

Zu unserem Baby waren sie super nett und haben einen Babystuhl und extra Avocado gebracht.
Für zu Hause haben wir uns noch einen Brownie mitgenommen, welcher auch sehr lecker war!
Die Aussicht war auch richtig schön.
Man hat einen richtig schönen Blick auf den See und ist umgeben von Cacao Palmen.
Zum Abschied haben wir das Lokal noch über die Feuerwehrstange verlassen, was unserem Kleinen riesen Spaß gemacht hatte!

Lovely setting, lots of vegan options - Edit
Updated this review to 3 stars. We went back a couple of times and whilst the service was friendly it was very slow and ingredients were regularly forgotten from our orders, food was often not hot when served.
Read moreOverall it was okay, we had various items from curries, burgers, the special bao buns. Nice to have lots of vegan options but it won't be somewhere we particularly remember. You can pay with card or cash.

Qué lugar más especial, al borde mismo del lago. En la época en la que lo hemos visitado teníamos que atravesar un camino sobre el agua para poder llegar. Como curiosidad, en su interior puedes visitar un precioso mariposario. Todo lo que pedimos nos gustó mucho y las vistas eran realmente magníficas. El servicio era un pelín lento, pero la comida merecía la pena y la pudimos disfrutar sin prisas. Pedimos alitas de brócoli que estaban deliciosas; una burger riquísima, una ensalada de bulgur con brochetas de champiñones, y una ensalada. De postre tenían banana bread, que pedimos para terminar con un sabor dulce. Para beber tomamos unas kombuchas combinadas con zumo de frutas que a algunos nos gustó y a otros no tanto. En general, un sitio muy muy recomendable.

We liked the variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes (bowls, traditional dishes) that other places in Flores definitely lacked. Additionally, the menu offers a clear indication for veggie dishes- something we didn’t encounter much in Guatemala. Cool atmosphere and yummy food 😊

El lugar es hermoso y agradable, la terraza del segundo piso es maravillosa. Se demoran harto en traer los platos a pesar de haber poca gente y los traen con muchos minutos de diferencia. Pedí un pepián que estaba rico, pero no el mejor que he probado. Lo que no me gustó es que las verduras no estaban bien cocidas y al pepián en general le faltaba sazón.

eh wasn’t very good, the service was pretty bad and we waited a long time for food. good portions though and the cauliflower wings were tasty but the burger seemed to have ingredients missing that were stated on the menu and was quite dry as they didn’t have any vegan cheese. also give mayo etc with vegan dishes

We had high hopes after reading HappyCow reviews, but sadly Maracuyá disappointed us a bit. We came here twice to really give it a chance, but still prefer another restaurant on the island. There's a fair amount of vegan and veggie options, which is nice, and the selection of beverages is great. The pesto pasta and the nachos were the best things we tried on the menu. The Thai curry was so small and sad that we had to order potatoes after to be full. The worst disappointment was the local dish that had no flavour and was mainly soup with very few veggies inside.
