Best vegan food in town! - Edit
Wonderful food and lovely place. A must see for vegans and ANYONE wanting a break from the meat-heavy town! Also, they are on Bolt taxi/food app, so you can order to your hotel or home.

Manipura saved us! - Edit
Food is amazing, its the only vegan restaurant in axerbaijan and it was nor easy to find places to eat at all, we ate there almost everyday in baku, the staff is super friendly, prices are decent.

The only vegan spot in Baku - Edit
According to the owners, they are actually the only vegan restaurant in the whole of Azerbaijan.
Read moreIt's own and operated by a family with some extra employees. The mother was especially friendly, sat with us, and did her best to explain the dishes and chit-chat with her limited English (and our nonexistent Azerbaijani).
There are plenty of options to choose from. We went a few times, and it was always ranging from pretty good to excellent.
Portions are a good size, and the price is bot bad for Baku.
The main thing is it feels amazing to sit down in a restaurant and not have to wonder if this or that can be veganized and if the staff will even understand what it means.
We also ordered from them a few times through Wolt. There is a combo for soup salad falafel wrap that is great value for money.
An easy recommendation 👌

Great vegan place in Bakú - Edit
We loved it the first time and came back for more:)
Read moreThey have a section in the menu with local dishes.
We really liked the "yarpag dolma", the "borsh" soup, the "eggplant roll with wallnuts", the "shahi doner" and the "vegan kumru".
The "shashi plov with soy meat" wasn't our favorite, it had barely any soy meat in it...
The desserts are tasty but the portions are really small.
The mix berry homemade lemonade tasted only as basil, not my favorite.
Great service as well!
Pros: Tasty, Local food
Cons: Small dessert portions

Was okay - Edit
Very cosy place with nice service. They seemed to have run out of soy meat though and didn't tell me. My "plov with soy meat" was just rice with lots of dried fruits which was really not good. The 3 qutabs were supposed to be pumpkin, herbs and soy meat but I got one with pumpkin and two with herbs.

I agree that the plov is not great! If you're still in Baku, you should give it another shot. The rest of the menu is delicious! I live here, we can even go together!😄Raluca, HappyCow ambassador.

The only vegan restaurant in Baku - Edit
I went to Manipura last week and I was not impressed...the plov was dry in my opinion and the berry lemonade was meh ... I knew I would go back as this is the only vegan restaurant in Baku and I will be living here for a couple of years. So I gave it another go today and it was MUCH MUCH BETTER. We ordered the guacamole (AMAZING), the kutab (so tasty), and the burger (huge portion, love that). Everything was really good. The small table on the balcony outside is also very charming. Being close to my work and also to my apartment, it is fair to say that Manipura will become my go-to place in the next few months. A shoutout to the brother of the owner who was very friendly both of the times I went.

Great service and equally great food - Edit
A friend and I came here and left very happy with the experience. There was a variety of food on the menu to suit a number of tastes but we both went for the traditional dishes. I had çig kofte and plov and quickly finished off both dishes. There’s plenty left on the menu I wish I could have tried but just means I’ll have to go back.

Incredible food, nice owner - Edit
I came here with two Chinese (non vegan) friends and they said it was the best food they have had on their trip so far. We had the doner, some soy meat, grape leaves and Luke kebab and it all tasted very good. If you want the best value for the money I would probably recommend the doner, it was much more than we thought. The owner was also very nice and gave us his recommendations based on what we were looking for. Apparently this is also the only fully vegan restaurant in Azerbaijan so if you are looking for a nice and easy treat before leaving definitely check it out. The prices were also much better than I expected, though it is obviously more pricey than getting the non vegan versions in the street.

I had an amazing experience at Manipura. The food was all prepared fresh, with passion and finesse. I loved trying the vegan local delicacies and their twist on modern vegan classics. The ambience and decor is very boho inspired and has a real feel good vibe inside, and on their balcony as well. Mamet was super welcoming and hospitable, he even advised me on local tours I can take around Baku. My favourite local spot in Baku. Oh and also they have great local wine! 😀🍷🇦🇿

Food is delicious and healthy. Only down point is that the portion sizes are rather small and ordering only one dish isn't enough if you are hungry.

Delightful menu featuring traditional Azeri, Georgian and Russian as well as other cuisines. Wide array of foods and engaging, caring restaurant staff. We are here at COP29 - the global climate conference - and have eaten here every night and purchased carrot soup we’d have food for the next day.
