Thunder Tea Rice (Lei Cha) - Edit
Thai fish cakes were awesome!
Read moreThey also have vegan instant noodles and other cooking products / snacks.
Bak ku teh -
Had soft soya chunks with sweet potato and noodles and the soup broth was good!
Enjoyed the duck rice ask for Sambal chili! Rice was braised having an authentic taste.
Olive fried rice was hearty, crunchy and crackers were good.
Yuzu drink was refreshing!
Yong tau hoo laksa -
was the best I've had and the tofu meat puff in it was amazing! My 5* go to laksa!
Sambal fried kuay teow -
The noodles are bouncy and had just the right amount of wetness. Vegan Char Siew wasn't sweet I loved it! Spice level of the Sambal was good not overpowering. I feel if scrambled tofu was added it would've been tastier.
Tofu meat puff -
highly recommended side dish especially with Laksa yong tau foo and black pepper fried rice.
Black pepper fried rice was good it does well with side dish like thai fish cake and tofu meat puff!
Sweet and sour cubes were decent balance not too sweet.
Kung Pao 'Chicken' was seasoned with sesame and dried chilli. Outer layer is made
of soft flour which absorbs the sauce well. Make sure to stir well before eating! It does have a spicy kick so ask for less spicy if you can't handle spices.
Thunder Rice Tea (Lei Cha)
Every Sunday they have thunder tea rice look forward to that!
A refreshing meal made with fresh ingredients. The soup had green tea and mint notes which were well rounded and not bitter giving off an umami taste.
Money Cai
Earthly, fresh and tasty. Good pair with
spicy dishes like gong bao soy chunks and
pepper fried rice.
Brinjal Stirfry with minced soy
Enjoyed the umami taste although, skin was little hard. Minced soy was soft topped with coriander leaves and sliced ginger.
Simple and a good balance for all the spicy food I've been having lately. Silken tofu was very soft and seaweed was good.

Best meal in Singapore - Edit
Looking for something different I decided to try a restaurant outside the city centre. By sheer luck I picked "Makan Vegan". Am I lucky I did!
Read moreMakan Vegan serves traditional Chinese dishes in vegan style. I chose the signature dish of Makan: "Mala". It's a plate of vegetables (lotus root, broccoli, bok choy), mushrooms (black fungus, enoki) and fake meat. By itself this is nothing special, but the oils and herbs added to it make this an amazing meal with a unique flavour. After a few bites I though to myself: "I can eat this for the rest of my life" and "if only I could learn to cook this". Although those wishes may be unrealistic, I can and will come back here often!
The restaurant lets you chose from four spiciness levels from "mild" to "hell". Not knowing what the standard in Singapore is, I went for "mild" and that adds just enough spiciness to make it interesting, but not enough to make it unpleasant for anyone. One can order rice or noodles on the side. The brown rice I ordered was a good match, but the Mala itself is a sizeable meal.
Pros: incredible signature dish, varied menu, also sells lots of vegan snacks to enjoy at home
Cons: dodgy neighbourhood

Best vegan wonton noodle!!! - Edit
Came here for dinner. Their wonton noodle tops the chart for me. I was blown away. Their tofu meat puff was absolutely delightful as well, very unique.
Read moreThey were playing calm chinese instrumental music. Service was fantastic and the food served very quickly.
Bonus points for the note on the wall about avoiding mock meat and using more whole foods (which is a big problem with vegetarianism in SG).

Vegan & Allium-Free Two-Storey Eatery - Edit
Relocated and rebranded! Instead of their previous coffeeshop concept, they're now a two-storey restaurant. Apart from retaining some of their bestselling dishes such as wanton mee and mala, they have introduced lots of new dishes including Sarawak cuisine (the boss’ wife is from Sarawak, you can be sure it’s authentic), as well as zichar-style dishes such as buttered prawn and lemon chicken! Revisited again and their menu has expanded even more, it's almost a stunning amount of choices hahaha. Loved the stir fry morel mushroom and shark fin soup! Fully vegan and allium-free, tasty and reasonably priced, run by a sincere couple~ Do also check out their retail corner selling vegan snacks and pantry items (including their own products such as laksa cup noodles)! 7min walk from Jalan Besar MRT.

BEST VEGAN IN SINGAPORE! BUTTER CHICKEN! - Edit
I had the best meal here. I would absolutely recommend the butter chicken, it was one of my favorite things I’ve ever eaten. The skewers are really tasty as well. The bamboo skewer is almost like a scallop texture and flavor. I didn’t like the laska very much, but it was my first time ever having it, so you could try it for yourself. Everything we had other than that was phenomenal. My favorite place in Singapore.

Had the char siu fried rice and it was delicious. I like how you can order the main dishes in sizes (small, medium, large). The small size was perfect for one person. Restaurant is cosy with nice ambience.

No knowledge of gluten free, but good if you have no allergies - Edit
My partner was able to eat and enjoyed the food. But I am coeliac and asked what was gluten free - the staff did not know what gluten free meant so I was not able to order anything. The chef was angry at the waitress which made us feel uncomfortable. There was no music playing so we could hear it and felt awkward being there until more people arrived later and they then turned on the music.
Read morePros are that my partner said the food was very good and they cooked it fresh and quickly.
Pros: Great tasting food, Quick service
Cons: Did not know what gluten free meant, Uncomfortable atmosphere ( chef shouting at staff), No music playing inside until more people came

Makan Vegan, Singapore - Edit
The new venue is very different from their previous address in Geylang. The new place is a resto with an extensive menu. There's plenty of vegetable dishes on the menu and not just starch, mock meat and sauce. I had Bak Kut Teh with brown rice. It was delicious.

Nice vegan restaurants with fun drinks! - Edit
It's nice to see a good vegan restaurant, which is explicitly vegan and not just vegetarian with some (often unlabeled or unclearly labeled) vegan options.
Read moreThe restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The food was on the milder side, which did not stop the food from tasting great, but it may not be the best choice if you are looking to eat something spicy.
Their drinks were the highlight for me. They have beautiful cold mixed beverages (non-alcoholic), which taste even better than they look. I recommend their peach tea with wheatgrass, which was presented in such a fun way and tasted amazing.
The staff was pleasant and polite. We got to talk to the owners and they were genuinely interested in their customers, going as far as recommending us other vegan restaurants to visit.
In summary, Makan Vegan is a wonderful restaurant, with people behind it, who actually care for their customers and veganism. Their drinks are wonderful and their food is very good, too. Clear recommendation from me!

Fully vegan restaurant with a small shop - Edit
We found this place on google and we were really happy.
Read moreThe atmosphere is very calm and clean and the staff was polite. The owner couple were really friendly and we had some nice conversation. After talking to them, that we couldn't find their restaurant in happy cow, they told us that they relocated from Geylang and updated the information soon after.
The taste was authentic but not too spicy, the portions were good and they had many interesting drinks which can be very sweet. The price was really affordable.
It was really nice to have an authentic vegan place because we found many vegetarian places in Singapore but with almost no declaration if the dish is vegetarian or vegan.
I would always come again at my next trip to singapore.

Good food and beverages and good service - Edit
It was almost 9pm and we rushed to get in our orders before the kitchen closed. The walk from transit was a bit odd as there were some ladies nearby that seemed shady.
Read moreWe had a Black Pink - Strawberry and Chocolate combination drink. A little sour/tart and sweet with chocolate and cocoa powder in top. Amazing.
Vegan Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak - Rich Coconut Rice, the pandan flavour a lot milder and fried chicken was very good. Sambal not so spicy. No peanuts. Fried vegan pork bits very nice and beans perfect.
Signature Fried Rice. - The quantity a little less. A little less flavour that what we like and a bit dry just to have it on it’s own. We ordered another but it came a bit later
A bowl of Claypot Black Bean Tofu - came in piping hot. The tofu pieces perfectly spot and soup mixture full of beans and sour soup. A. It spicy and some veggies.
Lots of dishes that we wanted to try but couldn’t l. Hopefully again when we visit Singapore again.
