Good ambience and service with few vegan options - Edit
I'd give this place 3.5 stars. The location of this place is pretty good. Right in Pruneyard. The ambience does make you feel worthy of going here on special occasions. Staff is very nice. We had the only 2 entrees that is possible to veganize - Enchiladas el vegan and Chile Rellano de Calabacitas. The salsas were excellent and had a bang of flavor. They were spicy for me but not for my husband. In any case, I'd prefer a bit spicy than bland flavors. If you are like me, get the salsas on the side as our server suggested we do. Tortillas were so soft and fresh. Portion size is adequate. For the ambience and freshly made food, the pricing is not bad. My only complaint was that the fillings were meh and the lack of vegan cheese. It wouldn't hurt to have more vegan options too.
Read moreUpdate - Saw their menu after the visit and saw that they had a vegan Champurrado and Churros that could be made vegan and so I had to go and try. Both were delicious. The churro was a little disappointing as we couldn't get the chocolate dip. But overall, enjoyed the indulgence :)

Upscale Mexican restaurant - Edit
This is the first time I've been to this restaurant's Pruneyard location and it is just as good as the Alameda location.
Read moreI love the freshness of the food at this restaurant. The cloth napkins and beautiful glasses and dishes are a nice touch. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is more imaginative than other Mexican restaurants I've been to.
Diners scan a QR code to view the menu on their phones. There are many vegan options to choose from.
We were offered chips with two sauces when we arrived. Both were good and I confirmed the green sauce is vegan although I'm not sure what's in it. On this visit I had the vegan enchiladas which were good. I think I enjoyed the el buddha bowl that I had at my last visit more but this was good. The Rancho Gordo beans are excellent. I also had an horchata after confirming it's vegan (it's made only with rice milk).
I sat outside and it was very pleasant and roomy.
Pros: Delicious Mexican food, Nice outdoor seating, Cloth napkins and beautiful glasses and dishware
