Place to try socca but not much else - Edit
I wanted to try the socca, a local speciality made from chickpea flour and accidentally vegan. It was quite cheqp at €3 for a big portion. I should have said yes when asked if I wanted poivre but misunderstood so no pepper for me. More like a snack than a meal but nice to try and I liked it. I think the other fried veg have dairy in them but my French isn’t amazing - best to check before ordering.

It Was What It Was - Edit
This place is absolutely no frills, just simple food and a reasonable price. It’s difficult for me to get too effusive about what I had, the socca was nice enough, the fries were what they should be and the beer was ultimately drinkable. Not a remarkable destination by any means, but if you’re looking for something to fill a hole without breaking the bank, you could do far worse.

Nice corner eatery. Outdoor seating on tables and benches. The vegan options were quite limited today. I was offered deep fried zucchini and eggplant dipped in dough. So, if you’re genuinely hungry for a vegan meal I would suggest finding somewhere else

We only went because we wanted to try socca (chickpea flatbread) during our visit to Nice. Pleased to say we weren’t disappointed.
