My husband and I have gone twice, we’ve loved it both times. One of the times with family that are not vegan, and they also loved it!! Super comfort food.

Best restaurant EVER!😍 - Edit
My absolute favourite restaurant ever! If I could, I’d rate it even higher than 5 stars!! I eat here all the time for years now and never get tired of it (neither do my non-vegan family and friends who also adore it) 😍
Read moreEverything is delicious, but I recommend the nachos and cheesesteak (even better now with pretzel bread) especially!
There is also a cute private room you can book for events, which I really enjoyed for my birthday celebration.
Great and friendly service too!

Lovely dinner - Edit
We came here as a group of 11. Even though they seemed understaffed (one server for the entire restaurant), our food came out in a timely manner. Service and ambience were lovely.
Read moreLasagna was good. It’s a bit mild in flavour but goes well with the salad. The salad has a lot of balsamic dressing over it despite being a Caesar.
The tartare was lovely - definitely recommend.
I had a bite of my friend’s braised tofu - I would pass on this one. The tofu was hard and dry.
Overall an enjoyable experience.

Nice place if you want to comfort food & healthier options. I went for the tofu stir fry dish with creamy coriander topping. Great portion and super tasty. We also got the sharing starter which was lovely - every element was great!

Lovely night on the patio - Edit
My family of four (plus dog) enjoyed a delicious dinner here on the patio. Service was friendly and helpful and I was so happy that my two (omnivore) kids LOVED their meals - the braised tofu and the burrito. My very picky daughter asked if we could try to recreate the braised tofu dish at home! We also enjoyed the fried oyster mushroom (reminded us of calimari). Nachos were ok. My favorite was my cocktail - I wish I took a picture as the drink menu isn’t online, but it had fresh basil in it. It might have been called something like ‘Summer Garden’ - it was amazing!

Vegan Poutine! - Edit
I’ve been veg for a minute so maybe I don’t have good context BuT! their vegan poutine was so good! Had a good salad with nice dressing to go with my French fries lol. The rest of the menu sounded great as well! I’d definitely come by again if I’m ever in Montreal.

Average and pricey American food - Edit
The location and staff are amazing. I am happy there are vegan places near a tourist place like this. The food was average, though. The poutine had clearly been heated in the microwave and the food was average even though it was pricey. Wouldn’t come back because there are other vegan places that offer better food.

"Top Rated" is Well Deserved Here! - Edit
Well, now THIS was one of the best dining experiences I've EVER had!
Read moreFrom the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by gracious and charming staff, who remained attentive and professional throughout my meal, even at the height of their busiest evening hours.
Food was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and exquisitely tasty. I might need to return here again during this stay in Montreal, or else I must make a point of returning to Montreal (as if I wouldn't ANYway - j'adore Montréal) so that I can revisit Lola Rosa. Yes, it is THAT good!
Pros: Attentive and professional staff, Food quality, preparation, and presentation
Cons: It's not in NYC

This place is a must if you want some amazing vegan food. The food is very fresh, tasty and delicious. Prices are actually not that bad either considering it’s right in the middle of Montreal. Desert is also a must!!!

Best nachos ever - Edit
Staff here is super friendly. We asked what was the recommendation and they told us the nachos and it didn’t disappoint at all.
Read moreIt was super flavourful and incredible, not a boring plain nachos platter at all!
We also got the poutine. It was nice but the fries felt like they were fried in old oil and the cheese sauce didn’t had much flavour. Gravy was more like a mushroom bourguignon, but still tasted nice.
We also had the lemon tart for dessert and it didn’t felt amazing. Too bitter and the flavour felt artificial. So wouldn’t recommend that one.
Loved the drawers on the tables filled with messages from previous customers. Reading through it was a nice thing to do while waiting for the food.

Went twice in one day - Edit
We really enjoyed this spot. For lunch we had the chickpea fries, curry and Rosa salad. I was impressed by the sauces and the variety of vegetables in my salad. The chickpea fries were also a delicious way to start the meal - we were hungry! For dinner I had the ceasar salad with hemp and my partner tried the braised tofu. Ended with carrot cake 😋 each meal was flavorful and delicious. I loved the « bacon » quinoa and capers in the ceasar salad. Atmosphère was fun and staff was friendly. Enjoyed leaving a not in the drawer at our table. If we lived in Montreal, we would go frequently.

Not impressed - Edit
I had been excited to try this place due to the many great reviews and recommendations, but both my partner and I were not impressed. The food was not very flavourful and were items that my partner and I could have (and have) made before where they were much tastier and interesting.
Read moreIt was also very loud; we ended up just trying to get through our meal as the only way we could have talked was by shouting (which the other patrons were doing), and we had no interest in doing that.
Pros: Servers are helpful and friendly, "Secret" drawers in the tables to leave messages, Overall look
Cons: Dryness of food (minimal or no sauce), Lack of flavour with the food

All-round great experience - Edit
Very cosy restaurant, we sat upstairs in the “gallery”. We started with a delicious pamplemousse/pink grapefruit sparkling beverage - loved it! It was hard to choose from the variety of options, but we went with the curry and the spicy tofu with vegetables. The curry was on the sweet side, as it contains a lot of pineapple and mango. The marinated tofu with the veggies was my favorite. For dessert, we shared the lemon pie and the chocolate brownie with coconut ice cream - both fab! Final splurge was the turmeric latte : we went all out!! Our server was extremely charming and knowledgeable. Excellent value, considering the quality of all the offerings.! We will be back next time we visit!
