at the forefront of changing Warsaw - Edit
It's hard to add anything new to all the positive reviews (can't really understand the negative ones, as I ate many times and it was always great). The thing about Lokal Vegan Bistro is that it's always a safe bet, You can't go wrong with the truly tasty schabowy as well as with most dishes - the menu is short, the restaurant sometimes runs out of dishes so You know the food was made with love not with urge to profit. Another thing is the people who visit, they make a very diverse bunch, from punks to businessmen, from young to old, from scruffy to elegant - it's one of the few places in Warsaw where You can clearly see that the vegan movement isn't a fad but a real mind and soul changing trend.

This place was very cosy and pretty busy when we came, so there were a few things that were finished on the menu. We each got the chick’n pasta which was HUGE and very tasty and filling. Had penne pasta with a devious tomato based sauce, marinated tofu chick’n all on a bed of salad. Well presented and very nice! Staff were lovely and seemed like a super cute place to have dinner or lunch. Would recommend, and would love to come back again to try more on the menu.

There are seats inside and out. The staff were friendly and helpful. They normally have an english menu (they didn't when i went but helped me find it on the facebook page). The food was good- i went with a non-vegan and he finished everything on his plate. The portions are big.

The food was very good. There were some seemingly authentic polish dishes. However, the man at the cash seemed very impatient and not happy to be there. I am not sure I would go back, because of the service.

Jeden z smaczniejszych sojowych kotletów jakie jadłam, chrupiąca panierka i miękki w środku. Zupa marokańska dla osób lubiących mocno doprawioną kuchnię. Niestety bardzo duży ruch przez co w godzinach szczytu minimum 30/35 minut oczekiwania.

My all time favorite vegan restaurant in Warsaw! The food is always delicious with large portions (for the main meals) and at a very reasonable price! The menu is small but has a variety of dishes ranging from traditional polish dishes made vegan to “fast foods” that will remind you of an even yummier version of old favorites before going vegan. The menu changes based on the season and what’s available. The atmosphere is wonderful as well!

The Lokal Vegan Bistro is based in a less busy more alternative part of the modern centre of Warsaw. It is run by young and absolutely friendly people. The menu changes regularly. If you miss the chance to try traditional Polish food because it is too meat-heavy, don't miss this bistro.

As the title suggests, this place was a bit unkempt compared to others Warsaw has on offer. The staff were friendly enough but food they were able to serve (they had run out of a few items on the menu) was bland and god knows who suggested that vegan tartare was a good idea. This was a starter that came straight from the fridge, ready made with some weird solidified cream drizzled over it. It was so disgustingly close to raw mince, I was shocked that it didn't come with a warning.

I felt this place was more about simplicity than atmosphere, which unfortunately might explain why it was far emptier than a lot of the other restaurants we saw in the area. There was better food on offer in every other vegan restaurant we tried in Warsaw.

all-vegan, located in city center. gets really busy in the afternoon but worth the waiting for a table. the menu is short, apart for polish classic meals adapted for vegans there are few seasonal options inspired with different cuisines from all over the globe. simple, tasty, always fresh food.
