Great little vegan find if you’re looking for traditional Romanian food in Bucharest.

A quiet little spot for a bite to eat. It was very warm so we sat outside in the shade. There’s also a nice area downstairs to eat. I had the Sarmale Ultra Romenstri. Cabbage stuffed with a soy centre. Which tasted great and made with love. Served with cashew cream and polenta. Which is a mashed potato looking cornflour side which is eaten in Romania. An interesting concept. But it works as a bit of texture with soups and stews. My non vegan friends shared some nuggets which they enjoyed. A nice crispy batter. This eatery also serves vegan beer and desserts. Unfortunately there was no ice cream available when I was there.

Pros: Simplicity , Variety, Fully vegan

Cons: No ice cream (not too much of a problem).

Pratos típicos romenos e lanches

O Level up tem um ambiente aconchegante no subsolo e está localizado próximo ao Centro Histórico de Bucareste.

Pedi para jantar um prato típico romeno: sarmali (foto). A refeiçāo estava excelente e foi devidamente devorada.

Maybe we didn't order right

Small fast food place with only one person working there. We wanted to order a couple of soups but they didn't had any so we ordered mici and salad. The salad was quite bad and the mici was just OK. We expected much more after reading the reviews. My feeling is that we did not order the right food and that other dishes like the burgers, pizza or sarmale are the reason while this place has 5 stars. But we cannot give more than 3 stars (and we were about to give only 2) from what we tasted.

Brilliant

I ate at several Vegan/Vegetarian restaurants while in Bucharest and this was by far the best. The food is lovely and the staff are very friendly. I love that they offer some vegan options of Romanian dishes

Only vegan place with real variety.

Level Up is a cozy place close to the old center, it's definitely worth visiting if you're a vegan as it's the only place that has true variety, and most things are delicious

Good and reliable

Dropped in here for some coffee and a bite. Very happy with the food - and it was even better the second time I went when hungover and in need of calories.

Full of flavours

Real Romanian food but vegan. Full of flavours. Healthy but filling.

Pros: Traditional dishes , Kind staff, Affordable prices

amazing local food

I have to say as others have done, that I was so tempted to get the pizza. someone on the next table had a really good smelling, good looking one. I'm happy I stayed strong and tried the local dish. no disappointed at all. also very sweet service.

Authentic local food

As tempting as it was to have a burger after a long day we instead went with vegan versions of traditional Romanian food like cabbage rolls. No regrets.

Incredible pizza, well worth the wait! Fairly priced for the size and the seating area downstairs is really nice. Will probably be heading back soon..

Incredible

Amazing place to try veganised Romanian dishes. The service wasn’t the fastest but there was only one lady working there and she was incredibly friendly and spoke perfect English. The food was amazing especially the Papanași. I didn’t think it was too expensive either.

Drooling for Sarmale!

Small and cozy restaurant with super tasty romanian dishes. Especially the heavenly delicious „Sarmale” - we worshiped them! 🤤 Staff was very friendly and helpful, we had lovely conversations. Huge thanks for the great hospitality! 🖤 Notice: If you love fresh mulberries, there’s several trees with black and white mulberries in this area!

yummy!!! it is a bit expensive but obviously all vegan and the staff is so so nice:)) the downstairs has cozy spots to sit & there is free wifi & toilet available

Very good

The atmosphere is nice. The food was great. Small portions but fairly cheap vs. other places in the heart of town.ygw service was great. And the menu was big and all vegan.

Restaurante vegano con precios muy accesibles

La comida es sencilla pero está buena, además de que muchas cosas las hacen ellas mismas. Las pizzas son lo mejor (el queso vegano es increíble). Hemos ido dos veces y quienes nos han atendido han sido muy amables. Tiene una planta baja interior muy acogedora en la que puedas jugar a juegos de mesa

Marvellous

I was attended by a very nice and helpful girl that helped me with my questions about recommendations.
Food was as expected, nice and complete beyond burger with fries and salad as a menu.
Highly recommended. They have also traditional Romanian dishes but I didn't try them

Best Pizza I had for a long time

This restaurant is called „level up“ for a reason. This is next level vegan food. I ordered a salami pizza and I can tell this is one of the best pizza I had for years. Also the desert a tiramisu was fantastic. The location looks small when entering it, but has full restaurant space in the basement. Nice and cosy.

Pros: Nice hosts, very friendly and supportive , Delicious food and a lot to choose , High Quality

SO SO SOO GOOD!

We came to Romania on a transit and arrived very late. Thankfully this restaurant was open so we didn’t miss this delicious experience! Such a cozy spot with such a nice staff. The food was amazing! ❤️👏🏼
