Ça faisait un long moment que j'avais repéré l'adresse parisienne sur les réseaux, mais l'occasion d'y aller ne s'était jamais présentée jusqu'à ces dernières vacances 🎉

Au menu :
- accras de tofu en entrée (team tofu à fond ici)
- le bol Libre en plat de mon côté (riz cassé, sauce arachide, grenade, plantain, portobello et légumes)
- le bol Chéri pour elle (manioc, haricot niébé, grenade, légumes sauce yassa et oignons bhajis à la place des accras de tofu)
- ginger beer et bissap pour les boissons 🍹
C'était délicieux, généreux, chaleureux, trop contente de rajouter l'Embuscade à mon carnet d'adresses ✨

It is always nice to find vegan food in France, and the staff here is super kind and helpful with English speakers. The place also has a very nice atmosphere and good draft beer.
Read moreHowever, the food was a bit disappointing for the price. It looked and tasted like a mix of pre-made or frozen meals put together on a plate. The extra hot sauce was mild, not really hot. It is fine if you need an easy vegan place to sit, but the food quality could be much better.

De gerechten waren erg interessant en klonken erg lekker. Heerlijke smaken, goede kwaliteit, maar soms een beetje één geheel, weinig variatie op het bord.

Lovely, homely, restaurant with satisfying wholefoods menu. Nostalgic for me as I lived in West Africa so brought an extra smile to my face. My mum who is omni enjoyed it too and was a lovely experience for both of us. Staff are warm and friendly and atmosphere was great. Unique little gem we are so grateful to have found 5 mins from our hotel 💗

O "L'Ambuscade" tem um ambiente muito aconchegante, com as luzes mais baixas e a decoração com discos antigos, mapa das ilhas de Cabo Verde e um bar com muitas bebidas para os drinques preparados na hora e notas de dinheiro de diferentes moedas do mundo junto de desenhos e mensagens penduradas, mostrando que o local tem história.

O atendimento também foi muito bom.
A comida fica dentro do preço habitual para Paris, com entrada, prato principal e sobremesa ficando na casa dos 30 e poucos euros por pessoa.
A entrada de banana frita é sensacional!
Os pratos principais foram muito bons também, mas a estrela da noite foi a sobremesa. Pedimos uma de cada, ambas misturam itens quentes e frios e frutas com outras delícias.
De maneira geral os pratos também são bem servidos, de forma que a refeição satisfaz e encontramos ofertas de coisas que apenas restaurantes africanos vão oferecer, como o suco de "bissap" (hibisco).
Não experimentamos bebidas alcoolicas, embora os drinques pareçam ser pontos fortes do local também.

I'm so happy that we visited this place on our last evening in Paris. It was realy great. The food is very tasty and with a variety of vegan african food I was happy to try a senegalese dish. Service was grest too.

AfroVegan is DELICIOUS!! Wonderful food that melts in your mouth. I LOVED it! I also was happy to try African Vegan food. I got the Big- Bun Soote. It was delicious and I had a dessert with mini beignets as well that was yummy too.
Read moreThe lady owner is from Cameroon and previously Italy and England. She was a hoot. She is all vegan and cares about the owner. Her partner (or husband?) is the main chef and he is from somewhere else in West Africa( I have forgotten now that is has been a few months.) They were lovely people to talk to and share stories with.

Découvert par hasard, on y est allés avec une bande d'amis non végé ni végans, tout le monde s'est régalé pour les plats! On n'a pas trouvé le dessert "boulettes chocolat sur lit de poires" intéressant; les cocktails étaient sympas! Très bon accueil, et on a beaucoup aimé l'ambiance générale! On y retournera de façon certaine!
