Tasty food prepared with care - Edit
I stopped off here with my partner as we had two hours before a train. I loved the chilled out atmosphere and ambiance in this place - and loved looking at the art prints strung around the walls.
Read moreThe food was great - we both had salads for lunch which were filling and delicious- a really nice dressing and excellent cooking of the vegetables. We also got some vegan cake and a hot chocolate - non-dairy milks available include soya and oat and another - no additional charge for requesting them. The staff were lovely and there is a really community feel about the place. Would recommend to anyone in or visiting Marseille!

Mein Lieblingladen in Marseille - Edit

Great ! - Edit
We went for coffee and lunch. It's a vegetarien cantine restaurant and about half of the options are vegan as well. We took the two different vegan options and both of them were great. Atmosphere is super chill/cosy and warm, price was really good.

Cowork and some nice vegan plate options - Edit

A super lovely spot! - Edit
Long story short, I loved almost everything about this place!
Read more. A very cute venue, "just the right size", with tables covered with coloured flowery plastic and small open kitchen
. Super lovely staff!
. Delicious vegan options, part of a small daily menu
. The use and promotion of organic produce
I stayed in Marseille just for a few days and was able to pop there just for coffee and lunch. Both were great. Lunch was soup or grilled veg + salad. I had the soup option, and it was both delicious and reasonably priced (10 euro).
Pros: Lovely venue, Lovely staff, Delish and organic vegan food
Cons: Use of dairy, eggs and honey

Good stop near train station - Edit
This place has some tasty options. I had a vegan cake and minastrone fruit. They have a wide range of teas and drinks. The staff spoke English but didn’t seem to want to speak French with me. They also said hi in Japanese. My friend is allergic to nuts and they couldn’t guarantee any cakes were but free because they were cooked in the same kitchen

delicious cake! - Edit
I had little time when transitting trains in the station of Marseilles. This place is located so close to the station that it was perfect to quickly drop by.
Read moreThe friendly staff however informed me that lunch is only there between 12h-14h so I was too early. Luckily they had chia pudding with fruit and vegan cake on offer so we combined it to have a bit of brunch. I saw them prepare the lunch which looked and smelled devine.
I really enjoyed the food, it was a delicious cake and pudding. The vegan options are clearly labeled with a V sign.
Pros: super close to the train station, outside sitting area
Cons: lunch only between 12h and 14h

Perfect location! - Edit
Ideally situated at the bottom of the railway station steps, this friendly café offered very reasonably priced coffee, as well as a really good vegan chocolate and hazelnut tart. Vegan choice was not huge, but what I had was lovely.

Permet d’attendre son train à quelques mètres de la gare. J’y suis allée pour le petit déjeuner et j’ai pu y trouver un cake vegane fort bon. Je conseille aussi le jus de pomme chaud. Original et bon !

Could have been better - Edit
I got the vegan version of a hot chocolate (which isn't normally on the menu if I understood it correctly) and it didn't taste well. Also the eating spaces weren't really cozy.

Not much to choose from in the morning - Edit
I went around 1030 am. The options were cake, or a scone which was pretty much cake. I had a soy latte which was fine and the scone which was meh. Lunch service started at noon - it seems like there would be more (and better) food options at that time.

Nice eco option close to central station - Edit
With an alternative interior this is a nice place located next to the central station. It's great to see more of these in busy public places. I only had a tchai tea, which was a little pricey (4 euros with the 50 cents extra-included in this price for soya milk added): but considering that I was looking for wifi and a big table to work on, it was fab! The cakes looked divine though, if only I ate sugar. It would be nice if some of these eco/organic places had options for those really looking for something alternative and that lives up to the branding of such a hip tea/coffee house. Friendly staff!

The 1980s are alive and well... - Edit
The sort of veggie cafe that gave vegan food its image of wholemeal pastry and dry cake. It's like a veggie cafe from the 80s. Had a decent soya latte here, but the one vegan cake option was like eating flip flops. Didn't try the mains as none were labelled vegan on the day we visited.
Read moreIt's a workers cooperative, and wholly organic, on the plus side.
Pros: Soya lattes, Vegan cakes
Cons: A bit 'hair shirt' for the modern vegan

Read moreI really like this café, they have vegan cappuccino with soy milk. There were 2 vegetarian options and 2 vegan options. They were nice and they know what "vegan" means, the food is organic and good, you have a great vegan plate for 9€. I think it is a place you must try !
Pros: Veggies everywhere, Vegan options, Vegan cappuccino
Cons: There was a lot of people so sometimes, it can be hard to find a seat

Good place for a soy cappuccino at least - Edit
It was nice to find a place so close to the train station where you can actually get a soy cappuccino (very often in France, the only place offering this is Starbucks, and they charge extra for it on top of their already crazy high prices). Here, it cost only three euros.
Read moreA shame though that they have so few vegan options, and that they run out of these so early in the day. If they would add more vegan things to their menu, or better yet, go all vegan, not only would everyone be able to eat there, but they would also be making a much bigger contribution to environmental protection, which is one of their main goals, if not the foremost one.
To encourage them to go more vegan, if you stop by, make a point of asking what vegan items they have. That will help show the demand. :)
Three out of five cows nonetheless for doing more than the average restaurant, and for heading in the right direction.
Pros: soy milk for drinks, low prices, nice ambiance
Cons: not enough vegan items

Disappointing - Edit
