Aside from the sempiternal idiot of a tourist who conducts a videochat without headphones (thankfully they ended right about the time of my arrival), I loved everything about Le Jardin: quick and friendly service; a very well-executed main course, consisting of polenta, zucchini and who knows how many condiments, each of them serving their purpose; and last but not least, a truly remarkable dessert. I was keen to try their no-cheese cheesecake, only I wanted staff to weigh in first: "go for the fondant, if you like chocolate", he said to this functional chocolate addict. What a superb choice. The main attraction was rich and creamy, but the vanilla and caramel drops complemented it to the point of taking the dessert to a whole new level. At 19 euro, this was the type of meal I would like to have again and again.

Reserved a table for lunch. Glad we did as resto filled up fast. We had the dish of the week plus dessert. Plat de la semaine : Légumes aux épices libanaises, pois-chiches, pickles d’oignons et tzatziki vegan followed by strawberry tart. Excellent meal at €19.

Die Location ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und das betreibende Paar sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Leider waren die drei aktuellen Hauptspeisen sehr tomatenlastig, was bei einer Histamintoleranz schwierig ist. Zwei waren mit Tofu und eines mit Seitan. As the only vegan restaurant in Biarritz, you might have expected yet another burger place. We are very far from this.

The food was fresh and tasty, as well as imaginative. I can only recommend!
Do note that I have made 3 attempts to finally get the chance to have a table, so you would rather book on advance!

Great small restaurant in Biarritz center.
Read moreVery good quality-price ratio, considering that most ingredients are organic, local and everything is homemade (including: the burgers, the no-cheeses, the sauces etc) and that... this is central Biarritz, after all!
The menu (on my picture) is changed roughly every three month, and every week there is a short list that includes the weekly dish, dessert & drink/juice. There is no compulsory menu, you're welcome to have just one dish, even a starter, if that's what you want.
The dishes we had were creative, tasty and well presented. The chocolate coulant was amazing.
The place is very small (less than 20 seats), so I recommend calling to book a table, even on the same day.
It's next door to Indigo Clemenceau (3 min walk, leave your car there). It's anyway right in the town center, so you can walk/bus/bike from anywhere.

Read moreInvestigating was the best option in town, but didn't convinced me! They miss variety. The tofu fish was worse than my ex wife's, which is amazing, but I expect to be better from a chef. However, the veggies with it were spectacular, but they have 2 plates with noodles and just 2 more apart.
I know it's France, not Spain, but I found it a little pricey.
I had the coulant that was one of the best I have ever had!
In the way the menu is stablished, I wouldn't go back. I would add a main on the menu. At least, it is one of the best options in town.

I went with my mother who's not vegan and she loved everything from start to finish. I recommend trying out the tomate and "mozzarella" entree, as well as the fish and noodles main course. All dishes are homemade, organic, local and gluten-free. The staff was very nice !
