Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant by the Canal du Midi in Southern France. One of hardly any places in the region that actually provides a specific vegetarian menu, most of which are in fact vegan. Not labelled, but staff will explain. Open Mon-Sun 12:00-14:30, 19:00-21:30.

Disappointed

Besides using lentils and chickpeas: please discover much more options like seitan and other good food to offer. Even the sorbet ice contains milk! I got a cold melon soup when the waitress said I would get hot tomato soup. She did not even excused. So I said to another that I I wanted the salat instead, which was good. But further, main dice was dry rice with chickpeas and some curcuma and lentils, and dry fruit salat as dessert. No plantbased milks. Ok, we ate healthy, but it is a 70s approch on how to make vegan food. Come on, you can do better. If I knew this, I would have visit the Italian restaurant next door.

Fijne (tussen)stop op leuke plek aan het water

De menukaart gaf wat Vegan opties aan. Ook vanuit het menu kan je los één van de gerechten bestellen

Menu végane à la carte excellent

Ce restaurant propose un menu complet végétarien qui est presque entièrement végane. En entrée, magnifique salade copieuse avec légumes frais et de saison.
Les 2 plats étaient également savoureux.
En dessert, possibilité de sorbet ou salade de fruits (sauf le biscuit qui n'est pas végane). Le personnel est très sympathique.

Pros: Belles assiettes, Produits frais et locaux, Personnel sympathique

Cons: Pas de différentiation végétarien / végane, Le biscuit avec la salade de fruits pas végane

Délicieux !

Menu végé qualitatif. La salade avec des noix grillées est absolument divine. Le curry de pois chiches au lait de coco est délicieux. Je me suis régalée. Service bien sympathique et bel endroit au bord de l’eau.
Je recommande ce restaurant.

Menu vegan très sympa

Accueil chaleureux et très bon menu vegan, le Curry était délicieux. C'est cool qu'ils acceptent les chiens en terrasse ! Et la vue sur le canal du midi avec la terrasse ombragée est top!

Lovely vegan meal on canal du midi

I had seen this place on happy cow when researching vegan options in the area and I'm glad I did. The setting couldn't have been more lovely with boats passing by on the canal. We got all the options for starter and main on the set menu, and all opted for chocolate mousse for dessert. I have to say I was a bit disappointed in the lack of spices and flavour in the main, but the soup and the mousse were both delicious. Would recommend to anyone travelling anywhere nearby in this lovely part of France.

Plentiful

It was such a wonderful surprise to find a vegetarian menu, with choices, AND protein, in this small village. Beautiful canal side location. €18 for a 3-course meal, despite being a big eater I actually couldn’t finish the mains. Excellent value, I hope the chefs can spread the word on vegetarian options!

I would rate this restaurant higher but Happy Cow won’t let me. It was wonderful

I had a wonderful three-course meal for 18 euros. It was a wonderful surprise to find this restaurant along the Canal Du Midi. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this spot to any veg/vegan looking for more than a salad!

Lovely evening meal

Though offering meat options, they have a vegan/veg three course set menu offering a couple of choices. Nice location, sat right beside the canal du midi

Veggie menu, lovely location.

This is a charming cafe/restaurant on the bank of the Canal du Midi. Really lovely location with barges, boats, ducks, bridge.

There is a vegetarian menu, and most of the items on it are in fact vegan (as of Aug 2018). The chef even explained the ingredients in person. However the vegan items are not labelled as such, so worth asking for specifics.

The food is really good and very tasty. Great atmosphere, and lovely staff.

The only issue is that the vegetarian menu only includes one main, and one vegan dessert (sorbet). So although this is very good if you consider the norm for this region, it is still quite limited.

Because they serve meat, the maximum allowed rating is 4 stars. So I will award it 3 stars due to limited vegan menu. Still recommended though.
