I knew the NY branch of Le Botaniste, so I was very curious to try the Bruges one and I was not disappointed. We went there for dinner, and we sat outside because of the heat, although the interior space looks very nice. We got the sushi rolls and some veggie balls (which were both delicious, although the dips were a bit too salty) and a tagine as main course, that on the contrary was a bit bland. I love the concept and the freshness of the (soul) food they serve, but sometimes it’s a bit of a “hit and miss” with the amount of spices they use.

We got 4 bowls here and they were all incredible. Easily the best bowl I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Very generous portions, fresh, organic ingredients, and well-flavored dips and sauces. I got the build-your-own bowl. Grateful for more affordable pricing, too. Highly recommend!

Read moreGreat vegan food! For the adventurous: you can choose your own combination dish, for the not so adventurous: they have hot or cold different dishes with amazing taste combinations. For the ones who prefers classics: they serve a pasta bolognaise 😄
Sort of self service: take your food to your table and pay in advance, just like in a real pharmacy ☺️
Pros: Great flavour combinations, Not your ordinary dish, Choose your own or add some extra’s
Cons: No service at the table (if you prefer this)

We tried three different mains with some sides, plus some really nice raw cakes. Mains (tajine, chili, and bolognese) were all tasty, but not spicy, despite the staff warning us the first two would be... 😀 Reasonable portions. Raw cakes were raspberry and passion, and hazelnut and chocolate - the former tangier, the latter heavier. With kombuchas all round, that came to around €75...
