Great place for a light bite of vegan food in the heart of Malaga - Edit
Just 200m away from Nona’s who do the best vegan ice cream ever, this small bistro does some great tapas. Go and have a bite and finish with a great ice cream across the square.

Great food nice staff, but lacking ambiance - Edit
The place was easily found and, as we arrived early, we got a place outside. It was a small table but the bright, color-changing RGB LED lights reminded me more off a gaming-PC than of a restaurant. Especially the food sometimes looked weird in that light, even though it looked delicious when the it shined in another color. Sadly, the menu was only in Spanish. The lovely waiter gave us his phone that translated the website, but many dishes still did not appear in the English language, so we had to translate each dish one by one. As the waiter did only know a little English, we had to resort to the translation app again to let him know we had someone with a nut allergy among us. The taste and texture was very close to real shrimps and seafood. The chicken-replacement tasted a bit different, but still quite tasty overall. The veggieburgers were clearly made from beans and had no taste of beef, but that's a positive thing in my book. We had the ciders, of which the peach cider was probably the best. Any fancy drinks like mock- or cocktails are not served. All in all, would visit again but would then eat inside and with better Spanish knowledge.

The best. - Edit
Relatively easy to find, though it is a little small from the outside, and quite central (nicely tucked into a smaller, quieter street than the main ones though- so not too busy to enjoy!). Instantly met with wonderful service, and was very easy to order (we ordered mostly in Spanglish- mostly English). Waiter was very polite and considerate and communication was great.
Read moreDrinks were quick to come and food followed swiftly too. Had tapas-sized portions of multiple dishes that just kept getting better and better. I have never have a vegan ‘fish’ that I could describe without just saying ‘yes, I guess it is fishy’- this was somewhere between a wonderful sol or elevated cod; unmistakably white fish with a glorious texture and flavour. We also had both prawn dishes, but a personal favourite was the garlic ones- with the crunch of the ‘tail’ and mimicry of the sweetness down to a T.
Whilst I do not have the knowledge to be able to comment on the authenticity, I do believe in it being a great representation of traditional Spanish cuisine. Perfectly filling and cannot sing it’s praises enough. Would 100% recommend.
Additionally- whilst this may not appeal specifically to many who read this review the toilet flush is lovely and quiet (I mention this as an autistic individual, it’s something that can be pretty daunting to those sensitive to noise).
Pros: Everything is vegan, Service was incredible and friendly, Great portion size options

Vegan tapas - Edit
Spain is famous for their tapas which are mostly made from fish, cheese and meat 🥲 Fortunately, there is a place where you can have real Spanish food experience without any cruelty. It’s La Vegana where super friendly people serve you amazing tapas. Their (no)fish meals were mind blowing. Also (no) meat balls, tortilla patata or cute little vegan hamburgers. We haven’t had a chance to try cheese plate but I’m sure it is amazing too.

Stopped here for lunch and everything on the menu is vegan, which makes it easier. We had a big portion of patatas bravas, a mini hamburger, nuggets and ‘fish’ with lemon. It was all very nice. Would definitely come back.

so this place was great: entirely vegan, cheap, friendly, gay-friendly. the only thing is, this is really fatty finger food, so don't go here if you are in the food for healthy veggies😉

Otro punto a favor! Sin duda volveremos a tapear allí.

I guess you need to be in a certain mood to go here - I expected more sophisticated, vegetable-based tapas. It was all quite greasy and snackbar-ish, but the taste was good. The staff is super nice and speaks English.
