Good food and service

This wasn’t actually my first choice for veg*n dinner in Palma, but my first two choices were both closed when they were supposed to be open (one didn’t even exist at the address), and I happened to walk past La Mujer de Verde and saw that they at least were open.

I started with a mango lemonade, which was wonderful – strong, sweet, intense and refreshing.

For starters, I had the Indonesian carrot soup, which was delicious, with a slight kick of warm spices. A bit of bread would have gone well with it, but it was delicious on its own, too.

For the main course, I had the tandoori tofu with lentil dal. I had expected the tofu to be in smaller pieces, but it was one big slab of tandoori-marinated tofu about 8×8×2 cm in size. The flavour of the tandoori marinade (and of the chutney on top) was excellent, but the tofu-to-tandoori ratio meant it got lost a little. The lentil dal was actually more pea than lentil, which was a shame for me (I love lentils, but am not overly fond of peas); overall, I’d rate the dal as fairly average, not nearly as good as what you’ll get in even fairly basic Indian restaurants.

The lemon ‘cheese’cake with crème brûlée for dessert, on the other hand, was absolutely sublime – intensely sweet, tart, tangy and lemony (with a fresh slice of lemon on the size to enhance the lemon flavour even more), and with a nice chewy-crunchy crumble at the bottom. Stunning!

All three dishes were decent sizes – not huge, but big enough that a starter, main and dessert will fill you up very nicely even if you’re hungry. €40 for what I had isn’t expensive exactly, but it’s slightly on the pricy side for Palma. Then again, it’s a nice restaurant with a clearly upscale-ish vibe and décor, not an informal local eatery, so it seems a fair price.

Service was excellent and quite quick: I waited perhaps three minutes for the drink, maybe ten minutes for the starter and two or three minutes between starter and main. The waitress did a good job all round, joking with customers and putting people at their ease, and the lovely young lad working the bar and floor was attentively friendly and smiling enough that I just about managed to convince myself he was flirting, which was a nice added bonus.

I’d give 5 stars for the dessert and service, and 4.5 for the starter (5 if there had been bread), but the main disappointed a bit, so I’m leaving it at 4 stars overall.

Pros: Excellent lemonade and sublime lemon cake, Lovely staff and good service, Nice, calm décor and vibe without much noise

Cons: Slightly on the pricy side (though not much), Tandoori tofu disappointed a little

Super lecker

Elegant vegan dining

We decided to celebrate my birthday here. The restaurant is elegant, the decor is beautiful, and the service impeccable. The servers were friendly and welcoming, and the young cook gave information as to the ingredients of the dishes we ordered. The dishes were all beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. The staff offered my desert to me free as a birthday present. I can highly recommend this restaurant - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Pros: The decor/ambiance, The friendly staff, The reasonable priced

Cons: None

Some of the best tacos of my life

We’re hugely into Mexican food so couldn’t resist their taco options. All the food was SO good, and the staff were so friendly and kind. Great sangria too!

Good value for money, we paid €80 for 2 starters, main courses, a shared dessert and a jug of sangria. Amazing!

Pros: Great choices on the menu , Delish sangria , Lovely staff

Heartwarming ❤️

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Palma, La Mujer de Verde is a true gem for vegan foodies. The cozy restaurant quickly filled with guests while we waited for our three-course menu, and it was easy to see why. For just 25€, you can choose a starter, main, and dessert – each dish more delicious than the last. The flavors are creative yet comforting, and beautifully presented. What makes the experience truly special, though, is the absolutely heartwarming staff, who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A must-visit for anyone looking for plant-based cuisine in Mallorca.

Pros: great variety of starters, mains and desserts, beautifully presented dishes, lovely staff

Lovely, unusual food

We visited as a family of 5. Lovely setting. The starters are quite small. The price was good in the end for all we had but not cheap. The stroganoff was lovely, have never had anything like it before. It would have been good to have a children’s menu as the potions were too large for my son so it was a waste.

Pros: Unusual choices, Lovey setting

Cons: No child options

Lovely and creative vegan food

Visited in July, I understand they change their menu regularly.

We often for the Japanese "tuna" watermelon taco and Shiitake mushroom baths to start followed by Thai-style tofu with rice noodles and red cabbage and vegan pulled pork taqueria, finished off with the Avellana Remix vegan "Ferrero Rocher".

The starters were definitely the highlight but the rest of the courses were also nice. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Starters

Fantastische ervaring!

Pros: Ambiente, Essen, Preis

Cons: Menüzwang

Plenty of choice

It’s always such a luxury to have the option of anything on the menu - but it made it hard to choose what to have! We shared the mushroom bao and the tomato & blue cheese salad - I’m a sucker for a bao, so that was perfect! The blue cheese in the salad was such a surprise - it tasted exactly like blue cheese! I had a seitan stew for main; flavour was lovely but possibly a bit too much seitan for me. Partner had a dahl, it was pretty sweet but tasty. I had the kinder bueno for dessert - it was really good but id expected it to be a bit more gooey (it was more frozen). Thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless! Staff are incredibly friendly and there’s a good wine list. Absolutely worth a visit.

Enjoyable but confusing menu

Lovely little restaurant with delightful interior, friendly staff and creative menu. Very reasonable prices for the centre of Palma too.

The 3 of us shared the bean enchilada, Chinese stir fry with eggplant and shiitake mushrooms and rice, and baja cauliflower corn tortillas.

The homemade corn tortilla was delicious, with nicely spiced, crispy cauliflower, but as tasty as the stir fry was, it was not really a Chinese dish and reminded me more of a stroganoff. Likewise, the bean enchilada dish was not an enchilada, and was served with tortilla chips. Enjoyable but confusing. We also got a free starter of bread and aioli that was nice.

There was nothing confusing about the desserts, with the banoffee and Avellano remix, both absolutely divine. Great sangria too.

Disappointing experience

As a vegan family and avid foodies, we were excited to try La Mujer de Verde during our vacation in Palma de Mallorca. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.

My wife ordered the enchilada, which was a huge letdown. Instead of the traditional soft flour tortilla, she was served hard triangular tortilla chips. The dish was missing the delicious flavor you’d expect from well-prepared beans, and there was no melted vegan cheese to be found. While we weren’t expecting a classic presentation, we did expect a good taste, which was sadly bland and uninspired.

Our 8-year-old daughter, who loves pasta and is not a picky eater, ordered the penne pasta. The tomato sauce was extremely watery and tasteless, to the point where she found it inedible. This was a real disappointment, as pasta is usually her go-to comfort food.

I had their version of Persian Rice, which had a slightly better taste but was overly watery.

We barely touched our food, and when we brought our concerns to the attention of the waitress and the owner, we were met with indifference. The waitress claimed that the enchilada was authentic because the chef was Mexican, which I found hard to believe, having eaten authentic enchiladas in Mexico myself. When we mentioned the issues with the pasta, all we received was a nonchalant “I’ll tell the chef” from both the waitress and the owner. No apologies were offered, and they didn’t even offer to comp the inedible pasta or offer a free dessert as a gesture of goodwill.

We’ve dined at other restaurants in Mallorca with vegan options that were far superior. Sadly, La Mujer de Verde did not live up to its promise, and we left feeling disappointed and hungry. I cannot recommend this restaurant to fellow vegans or anyone looking for a satisfying meal.

Pros: The decor of the restaurant

Cons: The food, The service
