This place definitely deserves all of the positive reviews - we had a delicious dinner here, and the staff were very welcoming. Having a fully vegan menu was fantastic as that can be hard to find in Vietnam.

For mains my partner ordered a mushroom dish, which sounded great but when it arrived it was pretty tiny! We were both a bit surprised that it was listed as a main dish. My braised tofu dish was nice, but was supposed to be served with noodles, so I was surprised not to get any and instead to get a couple of bits of bread on the side (which I didn’t really want). I checked with the waiter when no noodles arrived, but he said no, the menu says bread… I checked afterwards and it did actually say served with NOODLES 🥲😬 minor issue but a little annoying to order something and get the wrong thing, especially after double checking.
Apart from that though - the flavours were lovely, both in the tofu and the tiny mushroom dish 👌 worth a visit

We would like to clarify that the mistakes were caused by our failure to adequately explain our menu options. The braised young jackfruit can be served with your choice of homemade bread or noodles. Additionally, the mushroom dish is typically served with a bowl of rice and "tô canh", a bowl of soup - a full traditional meal.

Read moreThe menu offers an amazing variety and our meals were delicious - i was especially amazed that they had mustard greens as i had been on the lookout for them during our whole vietnam travel and never found them on a menu. The interior is inviting and the atmosphere in the restaurant is quite comfortable (note it was pretty empty, it may be different when very busy) The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I would absolutely recommend this place😄

Oh what a happy find - Edit
I happened to stumble on La Moi while walking around the bustling Ho Chi Minh City during a short stopover on the way home from Japan. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to experience this restaurant. The food is all plant based so I had no worries that I will eat anything that goes against my values. I asked for the buffet and was unable to decide which plates to have so the staff prepared several small plates for me to savour as many flavours as possible during my short stay in Vietnam. Everything was delicious but best of all was the gracious service. I look forward to coming back here when I plan a longer stay in Vietnam. Thank you for making my few hours in Vietnam so memorable.

Came here for dinner after landing in Ho Chi Minh. We stopped in without a reservation and the staff were very friendly and helped us choose some wonderful dishes - crispy noodles were a stand out. Lamoi rice and Beijing Signature were delish. Must visit if near the post office/cathedral.

La moi was the first place we ate in Vietnam and it's great. The staff is so friendly! The food came out quickly and was delicious. Standout dish was the pineapple fried rice, which came served in a pineapple!

Please be kind enough to open up with us, this is a tax principle by Vietnamese tax law that we always comply with, and you will find is normal in any official business point here (8% to be exact, depending on the government).
Please notice, that we no longer have the 5% service charge, it's not in your final bill, and that's why we do have to charge for your wet tissue if you using it. The dry napkin is free, please ask.
We understand from you that our pricing is different than a few other restaurants, but please notice that our product uses organic, fresh ingredients that are prepared daily on-site from Vinamit Organic.

Huge menu with a variety of Vietnamese and other Asian dishes. Ordered the rainbow rolls, coconut rice, and Shanghai noodles. Lot of flavor with options to add even more if desired. Incredibly kind and attentive employees. Great environment!

We went here for lunch in between visits to the War Museum, Post Office and Book Street so it's really conveniently located. The food was really tasty, we ordered square spring rolls and fried noodles. Delicious and filling, and the staff helped us with how best to eat the fried noodles as we'd not had it before! The restaurant has lots of tables so we were able to relax and chill out. It's a bit more expensive than other places but the food is really good and I would go back if we were staying longer in the city.

Clean spot, nice food, good service but… - Edit
Been meaning to try this place. It’s a very clean restaurant which is important and the food is quite good (I had the miến trộn just to try something standard that’s hard to get wrong). While all that was positive, there were a couple of young kids in there tearing the place up- yelling, walking over the seating etc. - apparently without parents. I assume these are the children of the owner? But it made the experience kind of horrible.

The restaurant design is original and attractive, works well solo, family, friends, couples. Their green papaya salad was very good and the main course with glass noodles also tasty. Slight over reliance on mushrooms, could do with a wider drinks menu, not sure if they do puddings

Amazing spaghetti bolognaise - Edit
The staff were very attentive and polite. I wasn’t sure whether the spaghetti came with tomato sauce as it only said spaghetti on the menu ( fake beef, mushrooms, peppers etc.) I tried asking if it already came with sauce but honestly it’s my fault for not putting it into google translate. Anyway, when it came out it did have tomato sauce like a tradition spaghetti bolognaise, and they gave me an extra dish of sauce which was so thoughtful because I’d asked. The dish was 114k I believe, which is obviously more expensive than local street food but I was happy to pay for a nice filling meal. Would recommend to any vegans or vegetarians.

Ambience 5*. Friendliness of staff 5*. Service 3* as the dishes came spread over about 10 minutes. Presentation of food 5*. Actual food 3*, average at best (2* if taking account of price). Hiding the 10% tax and 5% service charge in tiny font at the bottom of the menu 0* (it’s not optional - be honest and include it). Clearing the table while you’re still eating 0* (though they are trying to be attentive so it wasn’t too annoying).

Please rest assured that, in terms of judicial branch responsibility, La Moi guarantees to commit to the transparency and clarity of information on the products and services we provide.
On the other hand, we claim to be the first plant-based restaurant in Vietnam is a big mistake from our Marketing team which overall is our Leader team's mistake for not checking.
