Nice compromise

In one of the cozy backstreets of Omotesando one can find "L for You". They serve meat, but also offer several vegan options. Note that there's a lunch and an "after lunch" menu. I was there at lunch time and thus had the lunch plate. One has to order by scanning a QR code on a smartphone and selecting from an online menu. One upside of this: it makes it possible to finetune the order with more or less rice, a specific dressing, etc. The online menu is available both in Japanese and English.

My lunch plate had brown rice, mock meat, lettuce, sweet potato, lotus root and ocra. This sounds great, but most of the vegetables were cold! I understand that lettuce is served cold, but the potato, lotus root and ocra are not tasty at all when cold.

The lunch set ticked all the boxes, but around Omotesando one can find so much better (Brown Rice Cafe, Mr Farmer) and this mix of warm rice / cold vegetables is odd. On the other hand, if you're with meat eaters who insist on eating flesh, "L for you" could be a nice compromise.

Pros: low price

Cons: cold vegetables

Nice work/study location

I had a vegan gluten-free chocolate raspberry donut and a hot almond milk Amazake. Both were delicious. The cakes are with over 1000yen very pricey!
Next time I wanna try something savoury. I think the lunch prices are reasonable. Lots of seats and a chill atmosphere, perfect for working/studying. I think since it’s located a bit off the main street it’s not that busy here which is great. I came on a weekday tho so it might be busier on weekends.
They’ve got a lot of natural products like protein powders as well.

Healthy lunch

I’m this quiet neighbourhood you can find this fantastic place. They serve a delicious lunch set offering both a vegan and a non vegan option. All the choices are healthy, GMO free, organic foods with also many fermented foods. Most important, it’s delicious! I loved the place but can imagine that on weekends, the price of the lunch set (1760 yen) is quite steep for some.

The crowd this place attracts is mostly women. Also, they sell fresh produce and other health products in their shop.

Please note: cashless payment only ⚠️

Nice for a snack.

Cute little shop cum cafe, very nice stylish decor and the owner was really welcoming speaking great English. It was early morning so the vegan options were small, we had a rice ball and the only two beetroot hummus sandwiches on a kind of chewy rice bread? As previous review stated maybe the options grow at lunchtime. They did sell Mackies crisps.

Pros: Tasty., Nice interior if that's your thing.

Cons: Not so much choice.

Clean and Hip place to eat

I came here to eat with my nonveg friend around 10:00am. The options were limited (their menu grows substantially at lunchtime, I think at 11:30am), but good enough for me considering that most vegan places that I could find didn't offer any type of morning meal at all. They have a variety of drinks available; I got the amazake smoothie which I enjoyed. Several different types of onigiri and a vegan roll is available on the menu all day, which is what my friend and I ordered. All of it was tasty! The interior was well thought out, clean and a little "hipster." An English menu is available.

Pros: Clean interior design

Cons: Limited vegan options
