AMAZING! Great food and get service

Going to Kynd was one of the highlights of our trip. I cannot recommend it highly enough. As a vegan I had been struggling to get yummy protein-full food in Bali but Kynd blew us away. My friend and I got the squid entree, the schnitzel and an Oreo cheesecake to share but ended up taking home a big mac burger, grilled prawns, a rocky road and donuts for later. The food is divine. We also got ice cream (would recommend the fererro rocher and mint choc chip flavours). We had walked an hour to get to Kynd and it was worth it. However what really made the night was when my friend and I made a mistake in our budgeting/ability to understand the money and were left with no money for a taxi home (we didn't want to walk back again in the dark). The staff there, and in particular one woman who I believe is called Opi, did not hesitate to offer us the money to get home. They went above and beyond what we expected. If we could, we would go back again!

Pros: Excellent food, Incredible staff, Great decor (good for photos)

The food was good, but it seems expensive for Indonesia

I had lunch there today and got the "Cheekun" salad. I thought it was tasty and I would recommend it to others. As of February 2019 the price of that salad is 79000 and then they add 16% tax and service charge to that for a total of 93000. That's about what I would pay for a similar salad at lunch time where I'm from in the United States. If you want Western food in Indonesia you basically pay Western prices for the most part. The restaurant was packed when I was there so I guess everybody else thinks the prices are fair.

I am concerned about the review that was left previous to mine from an Indonesian who felt he was discriminated against because he was not a foreigner. Just as a data point, they did not tell me in advance that there was a 100,000 minimum and in fact my order was less than a hundred thousand and nobody said anything to me about it. So I hope there was some type of misunderstanding that occurred beforehand. Although I do not doubt his experience.

Pros: The item I ordered was tasty.

Cons: Priced high for a lunch in Indonesia.

Instagram place

Yes, the café is really beautiful and a good place for instagram-photos. But the food we had there was nothing special really. In my opinion you can find better vegan food for a much better price nearby! Also, i was a little disappointed that the smoothie bowls looked nothing like the ones on their IG-page (with the cute little letters)

Great food

I go to Kynd quite a lot and the food is good. However its a super instagramable place so the atmosphere feels a little false which everyone doing photoshoots in there everyday. The night time is better and there new evening menu is good.

Pros: Great food, Good price-quality food

Cons: I don't like the atmosphere in the day, Sometimes the staff will take away your plate , Whilst your literally chewing still!! Not good.

Heaven on earth!

We went to Bali for our honeymoon and after my first visit at Kynd I totally fell in love with this place. It's not only really really nicely decorated (and totally instagrammable) but also to food is freakin' delicious. We went there nearly everyday for breakfast bc it was SO GOOD. Eveything on the menu - no matter if sweet or savoury - is incredible. After we went back home I still followed the Kynd to see how they're doing. They have now really expanded with a lot places to sit and now they serve even dinner! You have to go there - or you will regret it!

Hip Vegan Place

Paradies for vegans. But could be a busy and loud place. Prices are on the higher side, portions are moderate.

Pros: Nice Food Options

Cons: Prices

Instagram food- it wasn’t like that before!

I used to go to kynd on a daily basis when I’m in Bali . It seems that since kynd became bigger and popular the attention on the food is gone . However the attention on Instagram photos had skyrocketing

Freshness , flavors and love that once was input in there food is gone .

I order pancakes, the only thing I could taste in this dish is sugar , nothing else .

My friend ordered the tofu scramble . The after taste of the tofu shows the quality of it . You can easily get great tofu in Bali that scramble was off .

On top of that - there menu say the scramble is offered with a rye bread , once received it was a white flour bread, once asked the manager say they don’t offer the rye bread anymore .

We got a cookie as a compensation ( ?! )

I really hope it will change for the better soon , I used to love this place

I’m very disappointed 😔 it was my favorite in Seminyak

Wonderful vegan experience in Bali! Amazing food, reasonable prices... it was nice just having a place where we didn’t have to veganise the food

One of the top fully vegan restaurants in Seminyak

All vegan menu. Lots of different options. Went for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The quality of the food was exceptional. Best dish I tried were the Thai "chicken" skewers. Definitely check this place out if you are in Bali.

THE vegan Instagram place

Yummy food, especially the waffles but it’s always packed and most of the people are there to make insta pictures and it’s so trendy that it’s like eating in the middle of a tourist attraction

Pros: Breakfast options are great, Food is beautiful AND yum

Cons: Not a big selection for lunch, Always crowded

Instagram No.1 priority

This place has a great reputation in Bali for vegan food, but it isn’t for the actual food. Came here at lunchtime and the place is packed full of people taking photos for their Instagram. It was obvious that the restaurant knows this with its decor and food service. Just type in #kyndcommunity to see... People happily linger outside ready for spaces to open up for a trendy photo, with no consideration for others eating. In terms of service - we had to remind the waiter TWICE that we haven’t received our drink from the original order. The table next to us were also complaining about the service of their order. The waitresses appeared more interested in pushing people out the door, once people finished their food, to get the next customers in. The food itself was very good and so was the dessert... the waffles are stacked tho so not easy to eat. Could take a good guess that 80% people there are for the pics, sadly. It’s a shame cos the food is amazing, experience is the opposite. Plenty more enjoyable places around Seminyak and Canggu, maybe worth going once.

Pros: Tasty food, Vegan desserts

Cons: It’s Instagram vibe is highest priority, Service and general experience , Prices aren’t great

Looks over taste

Welcome to Instagram cafe aka Kynd. This place is made for the perfect Ig photos, not really for eating. The food was ok. It looked great but was difficult to eat. Also prepare to be annoyed with everyone around you taking photos. Hope that they don’t sit you near one of their many wall murals because people will literally ask you to move while you are eating so they can take a photo of the wall. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had because it’s much more about looks than the food.

Cons: Annoying instagramers, Overly presented food that’s difficult to eat, Pretentious vibes

I love it!

Beautiful location! Just moved into a bigger building. Friendly welcoming stuff!
Had great raw cakes (snickers cheesecake and chocolate tarte).
The flat white with almond was creamy delicious coffee!
I love the conception and all the love and effort into every detail. Absolutely worth the price!
I left with my happy vegan heart!

Pros: love and effort in every detail, welcoming lovely stuff, pricy but absolut worth it!

Cons: closes at 5 pm, use sweetend soymilk!

you'll love anything you order

We came here twice and order to go, because everything tastes divine. They have a wide variety of breakfast dishes to choose, from smoothie bowls to avocado toast; but they make everything special, so whatever you order isn't just plain and simple. Their banana bread is heaven.

Pros: eco-friendly , friendly service

Excellence all around!

We were amazed and delighted to discover Kynd, and we enjoyed it enough that we might return to Seminyak just to eat here again. We sampled five items for brunch, all of which were exceptionally well prepared, with excellent flavor and texture, and pleasing presentation. The kitchen team knows what they’re doing. Service was all smiles, and reasonably fast, especially considering that the place was beyond full (we were lucky to get a table right away). Small touches like reusable straws (instead of plastic ones) are much appreciated. Very highly recommended! Enjoy!
