Nice food but accompanied by a deafening fire alarm test - Edit
I had the lentil bowl - fresh and tasty. I'd like to give this 4 happy cows as it was quite nice food. But during my meal there was a fire alarm test and it kept getting tested. It wasn't the cafes fault but there was no care for the customers - no pre-warning, or apology, or even any real acknowledgement that it was taking place and how deafening it was. It really tainted my experience and I left earlier than I wanted with a headache.

The food was quite creative and tasty, also presented beautifully. The place is very small though, and can get hot inside in summer. My favorite was golden laksa, perfectly flavored and creamy with coconut milk (I don’t know how it should taste though). The edamame hummus on coastal macro was also good and the cold rice noodle was not so bad. The portions are not big but not small either. $11-13 per menu. Oh the ice cream they had was nice, though a bit pricey. Think the plain coconut one was my favorite.

I had a great Cesar salad and a good coffee. There's one big table in the middle which I imagine could be socialbe at busy times. Open and breezy. Has a toilet (hidden away at the back so ask for it!)

Amazing Bowls! - Edit
This was my first time at Kokomo, and I was so impressed by their Vine Street location! It's bright and inviting, and the staff are very friendly. I went for the Hemp Caesar Salad - greens tossed in a hemp seed dressing, topped with nutritional yeast, hemp seeds and crispy shallots. It came with marinated chickpeas, and I asked for a dollop of their red pepper hummus on the side. They were so accommodating, and the salad tasted SO good that I will definitely be returning for more!
