Kem-Kon is always a solid choice

Been to the other branch in Khon Kaen before and know it’s a solid place. The food is always good and the service too. Very friendly people working here. I opted for the dumplings to try the vegan boiled egg. The egg was outstanding, especially the texture is amazing. The dumplings itself were a bit bland, but I know their other dishes are very delicious, so I think it was just a mismatch for me. Iced lemonade was good.

Very nice thai food

We were a group of people, each ordering different plates, and we all enjoyed our food. It has been the best food experience in Bangkok so far. All dishes tasted really good.
It is a very strong 4 stars.

I highly recommend the restaurant.

Pros: Great tasting thai food, The barbecue pork was excellent!

Cons: The food didn't come all at once.

Great place

My second time here :)
My food was great just like last time. It is not super traditional (as expected and in line with the description of the place) but a great bistro with something for everyone

Pros: Selection of food, Very nice staff

Cons: A bit more expensive

Great vegan experience

Food was delicious (but spicy😉), service was great and the restaurant is within walking distance (~20 min) of the Grand Palace and next to a mall and an Indian market

Tasty

Ordered several dishes (pasta, pad Thai, rice with chicken, etc.) through Grab and everything was super tasty. My favorite is the rice with chicken!

Fine?

Like a lot of other review, it was alright. Maybe I should try their sweets.

I did really love their Thai milk tea milkshake. That was great.

I had their Khao Soi with crab, and chrispy chicken with lime sauce.

I've heard so much about Khao Soi, how much it's everyone's favorite but this was a bad introduction to it. I was also surprised how small it was, (like thank goodness, I forgot I'm on my own now and definitely ordered too much food)because the chrispy chicken that was an appetizer was close to the same size.

The chrispy chicken was fine. That and the crab was very similar. I'm not a huge fan of that replacement meat type texture and they added some kind of texture on the bottom to mimic chicken fat? Which I really wasn't a fan of.

Overall, not my fave. Their western desserts look really good so maybe I'll stop by later to see?

Pros: Cute spot, friendly staff, Milkshakes not too sweet, very good!

Cons: Expensive, Not favorite "meat" texture, Small main meal portions?

100% vegan with many many different options, just as delicious and affordable as the other.

Pros: Choice, Flavour, Affordability

Cons: Not enough branches, Not enough people talking about it

Such a disappointment

From the bottom of my heart I am not in a position to recommend this place.
The AC was running like Usain Bolt in his prime and when we asked if it could be turned down they just turned it off, but turned the one next to it on.

However the prices were expensive and the portion size was a joke. My main dish had the size of an appetizer and we will head to the next place straight afterwards.
Needless to say that my food came 10 minutes earlier than my sister's. So we both ate separately.

The mushrooms in her dish were straight out of a can.

Bah!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Where do I even start???

Amazing fake fish

The red curry with grilled fish and aubergine was amazing, never had anything like it before. The staff were really friendly too and it is a great spot to eat.

Great fake meat, okay dishes

I will give this place 4 stars because the fake meat tastes amazing. The overall impression of the dishes were okay, but not something I would come back for to be honest. The vegan egg didn't taste like anything. The massaman curry portion was the smallest I've ever seen, lol.

Food was ok

Honestly, food was just ok. Nothing really stood out but nothing was offensive. I guess if you are already in the area it is a good choice.

Incredible Fried Pork

Great restaurant with nice interior. The food was really flavourful and yummy. We had the pork pad Thai, massaman curry and the signature fried pork appetiser and the fried pork was one of the best vegan foods I’ve ever had! Would recommend!

Authentic Vegan Thai Restaurant with a Big Menu

For more vegan Thailand travel content: https://www.itravelforveganfood.com/

Kem-Kon is one of those spots where you could visit multiple times and still find something new to eat. They have a massive menu of veganised Thai classics, and with branches near Khaosan Road and in Phahurat (Little India), it’s pretty accessible. I visited this Phahurat location and sat on the second floor, which has windows that overlook the busy intersection below while eating some delicious Thai food.

You have to try the vegan sai ua (Northern Thai sausage). It’s made from banana blossom and packed with fragrant lemongrass and lime flavors. Another of my favorite was their take on Hainanese chicken rice. The plant-based "chicken" was tender, and the ginger-garlic dipping sauce was so fragrant. It even comes with a clear soup that’s perfect for cleansing your palate between bites.

Pros: Delicious Thai food with many options, Great friendly service

Nice vegan café with amazing smoothies

We really liked the atmosphere in this café where they also sell a few vegan items (oats, soy milk, sauces, etc). The food was great, although I wouldn't recommend if you have a severe allergy to gluten (thankfully not our case). I liked the possibility to add either a fried (or boiled) egg to the dish, it didn't taste like egg but it was crispy and satisfying! But what I loved the most - and came back another day for seconds - was their Thai tea smoothie :P
