Owner Spreading lies - Edit
The owner is spreading lies. Claiming that I've been stalking him at his restaurant looking for him. He has gone as far using old text messages from 2021 and altering them to make it look they're recent. He's even accused me of using a fake profile on Instagram. I don't even an Instagram account and I was forced to close my Facebook account because his staff kept harassing me because of his lies.

Frankie, you are right, you’ll never step again at Kale My Name because we will call police again and file restraining order. You’ve been harassing me for long 4 years and it’s really time you stop. I’ve blocked you everywhere because you wouldn’t stop sending me inappropriate messages talking about sexual dreams you have with me and keep insisting on inviting me out. I declined politely multiple times until I had to block you. Now you are writing reviews on Google, Facebook, yelp, even Happy Cow telling people we serve bugs in our food and that I blocked you because you tried to provide me with feedback. I blocked you because you are harassing me and my employees, calling restaurant and inquiring about my whereabouts. It’s all very scary, so to protect my safety, I’ve shared everything you’ve been sending me online on my instagram and Facebook and hundreds of thousands of people have seen your messages to me and harassment my employees and I had to endure because of you. I visited for lunch while in Chicago for a conference. Saw the place on IG, figured I needed to get there. The owner was there and was super sweet and approachable. Rainbow cake and chikn n waffles were amazing!! Bagel with lox was the best I’ve had. Top tier for anyone but especially vegans! Going again in July. 👌🏽😊

This vegan restaurant was good but I did leave a bit underwhelmed. I did have really high expectations going in & wish that they would have met them fully. We went last Friday night & there was only one person in the entire restaurant when we walked in (that was picking up an order). There was no staff anywhere to be found, so we just sat at a random table. I do wish we would’ve had real menus to look at, instead of our phone. It felt a bit too casual. Thankfully a small family came as we ordered so we weren’t the only ones eating in there. They were out of the two appetizers that I was looking at & also the veggie burger that night. The cauliflower wings were the best thing we had. My boyfriend got their house burger & it was fine. I got the oyster mushroom wrap & it was good but a little greasy and the sauce didn’t really go with it. I should’ve probably got the buffalo tofu wrap - that was my fault. It was just too much grease/oil with the fries & wings too. Lastly, the cake from pie pie my darling was OUTSTANDING…incredible. Our bill was about $90 (with tip & no drinks) & I did feel like that was a lot for what it was. Overall, it was good but I thought I would’ve loved it more.

The garlic kale was inedible it was full of raw garlic pieces. The Italian seitan wrap and tacos were great. Empanadas and fries were too oily. Everything else at this place was excellent!

Stopped in and grabbed a feast to-go! I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman that helped me to decide what to choose. There were so many tasty sounding options! I ended up getting the fried oyster mushroom sandwich with Greek fries ( $3) and I added a Mac ball ( $4) on the side. Very cute vibe inside. If I lived here, I could see having casual lunches/dinners here with friends.

I love the idea of a kale dedicated restaurant and they don't disappoint, the kale salad was absolutely delicious! The menu is huge but luckily they make the desicion a bit easier by offering "a little bit of everything", smaller portions of the mains on their menu. The food was as good as fast food goes, also the portions are very big. Still, it was quite expensive but I am not sure if it is like this everywhere in Chicago, so I won't downrate

I walked into a really cool place and was greeted by very friendly staff. Kevin made a great recommendation in the Ceaser Wrap with “chicken strips”. It was delicious as was their version of buffalo cauliflower. Fresh, lightly fried and well seasoned. I’m looking forward to returning.

The most mid place in Chicago - Edit
We have tried this place twice now because all I hear is good things and we wanted to give it a second chance. Sad we wasted money a second time. We tried like 7 things on the menu and the only thing we actually liked was the awesome cake from Pie, Pie, My Darling which has a crazy upcharge, so we'll just be buying her cake direct. Unfortunately most of the food options could be easily made at home with a quick trip to frozen vegan food section of the grocery store.

During a recent Chicago visit I finally got an opportunity to try KMN on a weekend. Brought two friends and we ordered off the brunch menu. I had the cauliflower wings and waffles. It comes with both buffalo sauce and syrup, but I skipped the buffalo and the syrup on the cauliflower was great. They give you so much cauliflower I ended up sharing. It was so tasty. We also ordered the empanadas. We thought we were getting the cream cheese and guava, but I think we got potato and mushroom. Whatever it was, it was delicious! It was a great meal and I wish I could eat there more often.

I had the Mac and cheese balls and the tofu buffalo wrap (with fries)- so good! Don’t be fooled, the Mac and cheese balls are big! I realized I was getting full as I was finishing my second one, so I stopped to wait for my wrap. The Mac and cheese balls are perfectly fried and an amazing cheesy taste. Plus they’re served with a “ranch”sauce that is delightful. The tofu buffalo wrap was one of the best wraps I’ve had in a while because it’s exactly my style- nothing over the top, just simple ingredients flavored and wrapped to perfection. The Bloody Mary was perfect as well! It’s tough to find a vegan Bloody Mary, and this one was exactly the way I like- (again) simple and flavorful. You can get it spicy or not. I’ll be back!

Passing through Chicago, I had the Mac and cheese balls, broccoli cheese soup, and lemon cake. It was all amazing! The Mac and cheese balls had a perfect crunch but could have used a bit more cheesy flavor, broccoli cheese soup was delicious, and the lemon cake was moist and flavorful. Service was immediate and very friendly.

holy swear words. i got an order of mac balls, the southern supper, and my husband got the empanadas, dragon fruit cheesecake and the elotes…. i’m still recovering from my food coma a week later hahaha. literally amazing, can’t say anything bad about this place. ambiance is super cute, super green, super chill. i didn’t eat in but we got to go and we were too excited to wait so we ate in the car and oooohhhh my god. if you don’t get the mac balls ur crazy, also the southern supper ?? phenomenal. i ate until i physically couldn’t anymore. will be back asapppp
