Amazing cinnamon roll - Edit
This cinnamon roll tasted amazing. It was flaky and had a crunch you would expect with a really good pastry.

Delicious stop off - Edit
Lovely quality matcha latte and equally soft tasty croissant. Could not believe it was all vegan. Staff friendly and in a nice spot off the high street.

Yummy! - Edit
I stopped by Kaf during my trip to Copenhagen and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a quiet break in the middle of the day. I tried their vegan New York cheesecake, and it was a pleasant surprise—rich and creamy, but not overly sweet. The blackberry on top added a fresh, tangy touch that balanced the flavors beautifully.

Cakes and Coffee were delicious - Edit
We tried too different types of cake: the pecan cheesecake and the chocolate cake. Both were quite good. They also offered cheesecake, strawberry tart and pastries like cinnamon/cardamom rolls, which looked quite good. The outside dining area was on a small square in a rather quite sidestreet, which I found to be quite relaxing after strolling through the main streets. Additionally I liked that they offer free tap water, because it was quite warm during our visit. Can definitely recommend!

The vegan pastries are next level! And the coffee is also very delicious. The café is pretty small but you can also sit outside. Staff was very friendly. 10/10 would recommend! ☺️

i really wanted to like it - Edit
the café is so cute and friendly and all the reviews/pictures are so nice. but as others have mentioned, they struggle with wasps and eating something sweet is therefore hardly possible. they were also out of most baked goods around 1:30pm (4h before closing time) on a random weekday.
Read moreprices are kind of high for me but not that high for copenhagen i guess(?). not accessible because of stairs. does have a restroom and free drinking water. no savoury pastries (yet??)
the almond croissant i had was okay but not outstanding. with the filling and the powdered sugar on top, it was just too sweet. also, it seemed to be double-baked which i just don't like very much. 5€ is too much in my view.
despite everything, i will come back another time and give them a second try but maybe not in summer

Durchschnittlich gut - Edit

Amazing vegan baked goods - Edit
We tried a strawberry and cream croissant, seasonal grilly and sourdough bun with whipped butter and cheese. The sourdough bun was delicious and rather special and the strawberry croissant was amazingly flaky and yummy. Admittedly we did also get some takeaway treats for later too, including a cinnamon cruffin, New York cheesecake and a rhubarb spandauer. Again, these were super flaky and amazing quality! Well worth the walk out of the centre for some special vegan treats! But the actual café was small and rather stuffy inside, and there were quite a few wasps on the day we visited. Thankfully, they have outdoor seating, albeit limited, so be prepared to get takeaways on busier days.

Small menu - Edit
Maybe I went on an off day because they were struggling with a major bee infestation, but the menu was very small & basic. I’m not sure I would travel out of my way here again.

Great sweets and bread - Edit
I must say that the grilled sandwich I had was very basic, from what I read I believe they make the bread themselves which saves it as the sourdough was good but the fillings bit boring.
Read moreFrom the other hand the sweets were delicious! Had a cake with sort of marzipan and whipped cream with strawberries - delicious and one cardamom bun for later and that was very good too!

A bit disappointing - Edit
The pastries at Kaf are truly excellent, but overall the experience was underwhelming. The food portions are quite small, and the prices don’t reflect that.
Read moreWhat surprised me was their strict “laptop-free café” policy – no laptops allowed, not inside and not even outside. They present it with a fancy label as if laptops are toxic like cigarettes. I assume it’s their way of discouraging people from staying too long.
To me, it came across as stingy rather than thoughtful. Personally, it made me eat quickly and leave, instead of staying longer and ordering more.
Also, since the café isn’t exactly located in the heart of Copenhagen, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit unless it’s just for the pastries. Don’t count on it for the atmosphere -and definitely not as a place to study or get some work.
Pros: pastries
Cons: Far from everything, No laptops allowed, Small portions
