I could honestly mention that this place had the best home made vegan dishes I’ve ever had! Everything I tasted was so delicious and the concept was excellent! Staff were friendly and you can see many local people also eat here which I always find as a good sign as tourist in town.

I had the most delightful dining experience at Jardim das Cerejas! From the moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and made me feel right at home. Their friendly service truly added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

The best part? The value for money was exceptional! For the quality and quantity of food they offer, the price was more than reasonable.
It can sometimes be a challenge to find restaurants that don’t compromise on taste, but Jardim das Cerejas exceeded all expectations. Their commitment to providing a delectable vegan buffet is commendable.
I highly recommend Jardim das Cerejas to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I'll definitely be returning soon to indulge in their delightful offerings once more!

Lovely fresh food served via buffet. Price includes soup, salads and 3 choices of main. I had the dhal with 2 types of rice, pakora and papadom. I didn’t try the deserts.

We loved the place as it offers a variety of dishes that are fresh and delicious while catering for different tastes - salad lovers, fusion cuisine lovers, there is soup and desert, there are gluten-free options. The staff is very friendly too. We highly recommend the place.

I was so happy to have a vegan buffet! It was lovely being able to choose from so many foods. The dishes are mostly healthy and home-cooked. I quite enjoyed them, and I loved the quantity of food! The buffet does not include dessert in the fixed price. I bought a slice of cake but didn’t think it was worth it since it didn’t have a lot of flavour.

First came here eight years ago and have been delighted to return on two trips since then. A real family favourite! Food is delicious! Seen a few reviews criticising lack of labels on the buffet - the couple who own the restaurant are always happy to explain what any dish is, so just ask. My brother is gluten free and they walked him through exactly what he could and could not have.

Very affordable all-you-can-eat buffet, priced at around €11 for dinner. We arrived shortly after it opened for dinnertime at 7pm, so before it became busy. Decent selection of hot and cold options to choose from and we were told we could fill our plates again.

Didn't try the soup or dessert as was too full, but the apple juice I ordered was made fresh and very refreshing.

I had a couple of curried dishes, cannelloni, meatballs and fours bits of salads. Everything fresh and tasty.
Second visit over a year later. An absolute winner if you are out and about sightseeing. You are gonna get your five a day here. ❤️

Read moreI visited Jardim das Cerejas on my final evening in town. I wasn't feeling super hungry so I opted to do a takeout box (€8) of their buffet food. The selection here was fantastic - many lentil/soy based protein options, a salad bar, rice and bread - really the perfect plant based meal where everything was tasty.
My average rating really comes from my experience doing takeout. Maybe it's my American mentality, but when they handed me the takeout tray, I made sure to fill it up with as much food as possible (while not overloading).
When I went to pay, the owner(?) scolded me and said it was now impossible to close and that I did not do this properly. I apologized and shared my embarrassment with them, but honestly - it was NOT that bad. I wasn't happy that they made a scene where everyone started staring as I continuously apologized and felt stern judgement. Finally, another staff member took over and closed the box for me and I paid and left.
After sharing the photos with friends, nearly everyone concluded that it was not overfilled and definitely me just making the most of my limited space. Besides that experience, I still really appreciate them being available and would come back to do the actual sit down buffet so I can avoid this awkwardness again.

Buffet - affordable choice for the Chiado area - Edit
This is a buffet so if you don't mind people being/breathing near your food, then it's a great choice. I've been here a couple of times and it's always been tasty. The problem that I have with buffets is that I try to get my money's worth and end up eating too much. But, this is a decent choice for the area and the prices are affordable considering that you're in the middle of the main tourist area.
