Culinary orgasm! - Edit
OMG! I literally cried when I first bit the buttermilk oyster mushrooms and hard dough bread! It was just perfection.. crunchy and spicy on the outside with a twist of lime, silky on the inside with the absolutely characteristic "meaty" taste of mushrooms. It was just Fantastic!
Read moreI thing its just great that you have these "small" plates that gives you a tiny but of heaven but also allows you to try different things so heaven is not only one!
We tried the "Caribbean pepper prawns".. absolutely incredible.. perfectly spiced and the cassava triangles are just great
The "goat" curry is heart filling, spicy and fills you up with warmth and love. It fomes with rice and peas which is the perfect complement.
We were pretty full but as good foodies, we had space for the sweet tooth and we went for the sticky ginger cake which we did not regret at all! It was just the cherry on he cake for one of the best dinners I have had in my mind!
Crowned with an amazing service, nice environment and beautiful decoration. It is a 100/10 and we are seriously thinking on how to fit another visit in out agenda or come back just to London for this restaurant

Best food I've had in a long time - Edit
Uff, where to start??? We ordered two small plates (pepper prawns and oyster mishrooms) and one big plate (goat curry). It was so delicious that the first bite brought tears to my eyes!
Read moreEach dish is perfectly harmonised, tasty, spicy, crunchy - perfection!
The finish was a sticky ginger cake with plantain custard and pistachios to share. I usually eat just one spoon of the desert because I dont like sweet stuff, but this time, my partner had a hard time getting any bites in.
Also all the staff was just lovely and it has beautiful interiors
1000% recommend!

Caribbean Vibes - Edit
I went here for dinner during my weekend in London a few months back. I had pretty high expectations because of the high reviews and because two London ambassadors had recommended it to me.
Read moreThe first thing that struck with was the location of the restaurant. It was located right across the street of a huge parking lot next to a supermarket. Very urban and not very charmy.
As soon as I got in to the restaurant, however, I really liked the vibe. The music was rnb and songs like No Scrubs by TLC. One wall was completely covered in fake plants and flowers. The chairs were teal, almost like armchairs and very comfortable. The waiters were very good, chill and friendly.
I had the Oxtail Stew (17£). It was good but I had expected something even better. Maybe I'm just not used to Caribbean cuisine.
Jam Delish did not live up to my high expectations, but it was good and I'd be happy to go back some day.

Lovely lunch, we were stuffed! - Edit
We had a lovely lunch - ‘prawns’ with hammy (like cassava croquettes) was a delicious starter, as were the smoky ‘pork belly’ tacos. My husband had the jerk chicken burger for his main, and said it was great. I had the callalloo and codfish - it was just ok. The ‘fish’ was a bit overpoweringly fishy for my tastes, the chargrilled okra was so overcooked that I couldn’t actually eat it, the dumplings were very solid. It was fine, but I’ve had better. The staff were lovely, the ambience was sophisticated. I’d go again, but order a different main. There’s a £50 bottomless brunch at weekends - which we didn’t want as we weren’t drinking, but were told that although it’s not advertised you can have an alcohol free two course brunch menu for £25 - good to know! We had one £25 brunch, a starter and main from the a la carte menu, and four drinks, and the bill came to seventy something pounds.

Cons: It was a bit cold!, Not cheap, but typical for the area.

Tasty Carribbean food - Edit
I have not had a lot of vegan Carribbean food, so this was a real treat. The menu was exciting and we were all happy with what we ordered. We were especially happy with the dishes that contained mock fish - the taste and texture were fantastic. The ginger cake was another winner. Service was great. It's quite expensive, but felt like good value.

Really enjoyed the curry "goat". Plantain was perfect. Was not a fan of my cocktail or mac & cheese but that's just my tastes. Staff were friendly. I liked sitting in the bit that felt outside but was inside.

Worth a try - Edit
I had high hopes for this place, and it was great but I was a little let down. The mac and cheese wasn't very nice, but the curry "goat" was banging. I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of the jerk chick'n wings, but my mate liked them. It was on the expensive side, but at least the portions are big. Definitely thought it was funny that they charge an extra £1 for ketchup and mayo. I understand it for the more specialist sauces, but ketchup!?
Read moreThe vibes were good, but it took around 30 mins for a starter to arrive, and the place wasn't busy.

These flavours 🙏🏼 - Edit
Service from start to finish was brilliant, staff are very attentive and helpful with menu if you have any questions or want any recommendations.
Read moreWe ordered tostones and oyster mushrooms to start, then goat curry, chicken skewers and a roti, this was plenty of food between two. We 100% would’ve got a pudding if we didn’t have a train to catch. The flavours on these were amazing and not too spicy if you’re worried about that. So glad to have finally visited! The only minor minor issue I would say is that the food wasn’t piping hot for our visit but I wouldn’t let that put me off.
Definitely a strong recommendation for those looking for authentic Caribbean vegan food.

Really really delicious, we starters, mains and dessert and weren’t disappointed by anything. I would recommend ordering three courses or starters and mains and sides as the portions aren’t large. Ambiance and decor was lovely, staff were super friendly and personable, will definitely be back.

Important crossover vegan bar/club/restaurant concept capturing the imagination. - Edit
First things first, the name of the brand is bloody awesome. I’ve known the site for years as I used to live around the corner in Cloudsley square in 1985.
Read moreArrived at 1pm sharp, as per the booking and they were not quite ready yet and the music was up at war zone (staff setting up the venue) levels. I asked them to turn it down and they did and were friendly.
I designed a lot of venues in the 90s/2000’s and this looks just like some of those clubs with a retro club feel. Is it a bar, is it a club, is it a restaurant? The design does not appear to know what its identity is but hopefully the food does.
Personally I think it’s more of an evening venue as the interior feels more clubby than gastro but again that’s helping push the cruelty free plant-based food envelope into the nightlife world as well. It looks like they had a small budget for the fit-out.
I had the curry goat and my buddy had the fried chicken with Jamaican gravy, both dishes were jam Delish and worth the wait although the portions were small for the money.
For dessert I had the chocolate ice cream sandwich and my buddy had the apple crumble and custard. Both were Jam Delish (see pics because seeing is believing)
The future is vegan 🌱

I ordered take-out. It was done pretty quickly. The rice & peas were made with Scotch Bonnet pepper so the heat doesn’t hit you right away, but it’s hot. I liked the chicken pieces a lot.

Own place now: SO much better - Edit
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, great the wine is now vegan (as own place now, not in pub) - just please include a couple of mains without "meat" in the title (which we don't prefer, plus there's no indication what those are actually made of)

Super Flavorful Caribbean Food! - Edit
Finally got to try Jam Delish and I can see what the hype is about. We had high expectations before arriving and they were certainly met, if not exceeded! Between two (quite hungry) people, we share 4 small plates, one large plate, and one dessert. We were stuffed but loved getting to try a bit of everything. For the small plates we had the salt “fish” (our favorite!), jerk plantains, fried oyster mushrooms, and jerk “chicken” wings, and the oxtail stew for the large plate. Everything was bursting with flavor. The chocolate cake dessert was also fantastic.
Read moreWaiters were friendly, but the hostess was not as warm or friendly as you would expect upon entering the restaurant (a minor thing though). It is a pricey outing, but so worth the try!!

Excellent vegan Caribbean food in London - Edit
Following excellent reviews in the media this restaurant is very popular, so I would suggest you make a reservation.
Read moreThe restaurant is just a short walk from Angel tube station. Inside the restaurant there is a reception/cocktail bar area and off to the left and to the right there are the restaurant tables and chairs, with a choice of really comfortable tub chairs and bench seating.
There's a fairly extensive drinks menu with cocktails, and various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
For the food, I chose the fried 'chicken' and Jamaican gravy, which comes with ackee, lentils, and Caribbean squash. It was delicious. A nice combination or textures and flavours.
I still had a little room for a dessert so ordered the Biscoff Cheesecake (apparently the cheesecake varies week to week). It was very nice (although very similar to other Biscoff cheesecakes I've had). I don't eat chocolate, otherwise I'd have chosen the Chocolate Ice Cream sandwich with rum cake and chocolate/banana ice-cream.
The service was prompt and very friendly.
I look forward to going again
Pros: Delicious vegan food, Nice ambience , Prompt service
Cons: At times it got a bit noisy 'cos it was busy!😀

Great food, bad service - Edit
The food was great, and really tasty, but the service was a mess. The waiters didn't seem like they were communicating with each other, and they made a lot of mistakes with our orders. We also had to wait around ten minutes to be seated even with a booking. The food took ridiculously long to get there, but once it did (even though it was the wrong order) it tasted good. Won't be coming back though :(
