Really great! - Edit
Loved everything, although, my bacon was tooth breaking hard lol. Idk if it was just mine or if that’s normal. But otherwise SO GOOD.

100% Vegan & Delicious - Edit
The basic solo is outstanding. I have tried every item on the menu but keep coming back to this. Fries are very good. Shakes are the best I have ever had. This is a restaurant that cares about its employees, which I greatly appreciate. On a bus line. Street parking is easy to find.

Yummy desserts - Edit
One of my favorite spots in MSP. They always have rotating desserts in the case. Their chicken sandwich is really good. The peanut butter salted caramel shake is soo good I highly recommend. If u plan to go for Sunday brunch, prepare for it to be busy.

Vegan classics - Edit
I had the "chicken" sandwich, fries, mango kombucha, and fried mushrooms for the table. My fam had burgers and the Cuban "pork" sandwich. Everything was quite good! The fried mushrooms were amazing, and the sandwich was very close to how I remember chicken to be. Very familiar flavor profile. The fries were spectacular. So refreshing to be able to order anything on the menu. Ironically, the meat eater in the group ordered fries and a side salad. That's usually the only option for me when we go out 🤣

socially-conscious community staple - Edit
The food is reliably good, and is designed to be familiar and welcoming to all (so no super-inventive vegan foods). What brings me back is knowing that anyone can order a free (or pay-what-you-can) "community bowl" and all the employees earn a living wage with benefits and PTO. Yes, that makes the prices a little higher than some other places, but I am happy to pay that.

Wonderful food and good portions. All of the items we have tried were great. Being able to get chili instead of fries is a great option.

Philly cheese steak sub BBQ was made by the gods - Edit
Really like j Selby's been going to them since before they switched owners to the herbivorous butcher, and haven't noticed much changes from their great items. Like the title says their Philly cheese steak is their best item to me. Highly recommend. The only problem is with the hours but that's an economic issue I assume. Try them out.

Winter Harvest Bowl - Edit
It was very good, I would only wonder if the tofu could have had a non-fried option. With the sweet potatoes fries, and fried tofu, it seemed a little too much fries and not enough lettuce. 🤣😂🤣
Read moreI took it to go, and I took half of the toppings and added it to more lettuce/spring mix greens and made two portions out of the one order.
Pros: All the toppings
Cons: Wished there was a non-fried tofu option to add

Best Cauliflower Wings Ever! - Edit
There were so many delicious sounding options that it was difficult to choose! Ultimately, I settled on the Beer-Battered Cauliflower Wings tossed in the Maple Mustard BBQ sauce and the Steak Sandwich with fries. The "wings" were fried to perfection; far and away the tastiest helping of cauliflower I've ever had! The Maple Mustard BBQ (basically their take on a Carolina-style BBQ sauce) was the perfect amount of tangy and sweet and paired well with the side of ranch. The sandwich was delicious, albeit a bit dry for my taste. The fries were wonderfully crispy and seasoned generously. My eyes were way bigger than my stomach because I ended up needing a box for both (good news is they both reheated extremely well later at home). I also took home a couple of selections from the bakery case, my favorite of which was the Gochujang Sugar Cookie. They bring the food out and bus the tables for you, which is a nice touch for a place where you order from the counter. I do like their no tip/living wage philosophy, but would prefer they actually reflect that in the price of their menu items rather than an employee wellness fee added to the end of the bill (essentially a tip).

Cons: Employee wellness fee, Counter ordering feels impersonal

Delicious Food and Great Hospitality - Edit
I was in St. Paul in business and I checked HC for places near me for dinner. Caught a Lyft and was not disappointed! Very welcoming, helpful and kind staff. I enjoy the casual seating so I could take a corner and read. Food was beyond all expectations. Get the Caesar Salad! It’s great. Also got the breakfast sandwich to go and it was delicious the next morning. (Hotel coffee shop staff heated in their panini oven.)

Amazing food and service - Edit
I just moved to St. Paul and found this place on Happy Cow. I ordered the BBQ black bean burger with fries. The food was amazing. Just the right about of spice on the burger. The staff was also really helpful in providing coffee/food recommendations in the area!

Casual, Large Menu - Edit
It’s another order-at-the-counter, upscale casual place. Really big menu. Pretty pricey (they add on mandatory tip also). I tried the breakfast sandwich and it was good. I got the walnut Caesar salad as my side and I loved that! Definitely will come back and try more menu items another time.

Second time here - Edit
My second visit here and I enjoy it. I think the quality is better than most vegan restaurants and the staff is great. Strong Manhattan vibes and could compete with the larger cities. There’s no tipping here so the final price is what you pay. The soup special was incredible and I’m still thinking about it 8 hours later.

Best Gyro Ever - Edit
I'm pretty picky when it comes to mock-meats but I'm usually sold when it's "house-made", and their gyro "meat" was unreal. It had perfect seasoning and was the size of my head (partial joke). Also, make sure to get a milkshake because they do them right.
